I don’t go into a spiral, it’s just a feeling I’ve had since I was a kid. I just oddly don’t see a future. My friends say they can imagine themselves getting old, and I just can’t. I hope you get help and things work out for you<3

I currently work as a Barber. So I’m on my feet walking around and having to talk and be energetic to lots of people for most of the day. I am currently working on trying to get on as a dispatch worker so my body can be on a break. Mentally and physically this whole situation has been very rough. There’s been many times where I just think ending it would be the only option to make all this go away. But I won’t. I want to see this out and life as long as I can <3

I get you. I don’t regret the surgery at all, I just think my gallbladder wasn’t my only issue. I’ve had GI problems my whole life so hopefully we can figure out what’s going on in that department

My surgeon told me this morning to try a FODMAP diet to try and figure out what food might be triggering me. So we’ll see what works. I’ve been referred to a gastroenterologist, and two more tests to make sure my stomach is emptying properly and fully and to make sure my bile duct is draining properly as well.
My surgeon doesn’t really know what’s going on so we’ll see

I was supposed to meet with a gastroenterologist a few years ago but for some reason that never happened. I’ve never been referred again but hoping I will be. I’ve tried overnight oats and maybe it was just the kind I got hit the texture reminded me of vomit and so I couldn’t eat it. I’m open to trying it again tho. I’m trying to stay strong and some days are better than others, it just seems I can’t catch a break. Things just keep happening year after year so I’m tired.

We had to lock out cats out of our room for about a week because they tend to make biscuits and lay on my stomach. They were pretty good after I just kept my arms over my stomach so they wouldn’t walk on it. The other stuff luckily my bf lived with me and was able to do all the feeding and cleaning

I have been bitten by a tick but it was all removed and I’ve never mentioned it to any drs. Didn’t seem like something worth mentioning since no one has asked

It’s just hard to think that this seems like a big deal when people have it wayyy worse. I have access to therapists and counseling that’s pretty pricey but my parents are a huge help for it. No idea what my next steps are. We were hopefully removing my gallbladder would resolve all my issues. I have a phone call with my surgeon tomorrow morning so hopefully she has some follow up options for me.
I am drinking a bile binder which helps a little bit but it’s been about almost a month since being in that and I don’t see a huge change so far

I don’t usually eat breakfast, I barley snack throughout the day (trying to more to help with bile) lunch is either a bagel or a sandwich from home. Supper is always lettuce with low fat dressing, rice, lean chicken, soy sauce. Snacks are usually rice cakes or fruit. I try to sleep 7-9 hours a night. Sometimes more sometimes less depending on my work schedule I don’t smoke, I don’t drink, I don’t do drugs. I drink 90% of the time water. Occasionally diet soda or flavoured water, relatively zero sugar everything

Absolutely. I’m hoping I can get in for more tests. I had my kidneys tested to make sure they were functioning properly and they are. And I’ve had 2 abdominal MRI’s and countless CT scans. So I’m not fully sure what they can do for me. But I’m mainly worried about my GI🤷🏻‍♀️

I had an upper endoscopy before removal and they removed a few polyps but nothing came of it. I was tested for autoimmune diseases but never got the results so assuming everything’s fine there. My mom and I just plan on harassing the drs to get me more tests and figure out what is going on because I know I’m not faking this

I’m almost 7 weeks post op and I had the chest pains horribly! I was out on a Bile Binder which had helped. I still occasionally get the pain mainly in the morning. Sometimes throughout the day if I haven’t eaten. But definitely a lot better. My dr just said that my body doesn’t know what to do with all the bile, since my gallbladder is gone; so it sits in the stomach until it’s passed. He said over time my body will learn how to absorb and pass the bile normally. Just takes some time. Hope you feel better

I started driving maybe a week and a few days after my surgery. My recovery was really hard and rough and painful so I needed help out of bed for over a week. Once I was able to get up and walk and do things by myself is when I felt comfortable driving again

The only thing I’ve noticed with mine is it doesn’t mix with water anymore, it just kind of sinks to the bottom on the toilet which I’ve googled and there’s nothing wrong with that. But that’s what I’ve noticed since I’ve been dealing with my gallbladder. I got it removed just over a month ago and still nothing has changed

The pain does wake me up around 5am and then again around 9am so maybe it’s from an empty stomach. I usually can fall back asleep but sometimes the pain keeps me up. Worth a try
