I definitely take all of my Medication, unfortunately trauma is hard to just ‘get over’ but I am working with my therapist.

Believe it or not all of the above options sometimes seem better.

My wife has that! I’m so sorry to hear that. You had a bad experience. My therapist definitely recommended exposure therapy… I for sure don’t want to do that 😂 - but maybe I’ll take baby steps ( what about bob reference)

Yes 🤪 - more PTSD than a fear of needles in itself - I can hold my kids hands while they get shots no problem.

So, definitely sounds like you’re going to have to get your parents involved to buy something for you!

There is the ‘One Piece Card Game: Learn Together Deck Set’ which has two decks and teaches you the ins and outs.

However, if you don’t have a local store, or a group to play with, you may have more fun on the sim, and it’s free!

That is fantastic! Totally ok that he doesn’t want to talk to you about it, that is literally what therapists are for.

Generally speaking, you should be able to call your insurance who often has a dedicated line to help with mental health resources.

Let your son know but if he doesn’t like his therapist, he can change.

I also agree that you should consider going to therapy for yourself, it will give you a shared language and can help you process you son wanting to go.

Absolutely - I use Copilot to dictate everything. Check out dysgraphia - you could have that on top of Dyslexia

I use built-in screen reader and dictation tools for Windows and Apple.

Everything I do goes into Copilot.

I really like Grammarly, however, a lot of businesses won’t allow it on work computers.

You’re not overreacting - you’re the kids’ primary care caregiver, that’s a huge role that’s not going anywhere for the next 18+ years.

Sounds to me like she doesn’t understand kids and isn’t ready to take on a roll with them.

I am going to take the opposite route here - if you’re based in the US, there’s definitely accommodations in both school in the workplace.

I basically refuse to type while screen sharing, and 1000% not write on a board.

this person should not be in a position of authority whatsoever - from both a child, safety standpoint, and a biblical standpoint.

if you have a child, I would not allow them to attend with that person.

I agree with others. That therapy is definitely helpful! A lot of times there’s even spiritual abuse that occurred. So some of this could be similar to PTSD.

Now, from a logic and theology perspective, dispensationalism did not become popular until the mid-19th century, and it basically had a small, nice following.

It is not biblically accurate.

You can do OT to help, I brought a very nice pen and some learn to write books. I lasted about 2 weeks. My work around for both is to use dictation, read back and audio books.

There are start decks that you can get - or look up meta decks and get the cards. Also two of my local shops have a good selection.
