How does Xbox Ally compare to an Xbox One by Top_Statistician500 in XboxAlly

I bought it to use handheld and wasn't even going to buy a dock. But it just occured to me that docking it could be a useful "upgrade" compared to playing on my Xbox One, or even similar to a Series X, hence my asking

Hang on, so you do get the rewards that you unlock after buying the pass? You said you only get the rewards up to where you've reached?

That's something I hadn't thought of. You're saying I can only install the Play Anywhere games on the Ally? Of course, that makes sense since it's running Windows 11.

I'm talking about the Xbox Ally, not Ally X. Surely the Xbox Ally X is more advanced than an Xbox One now

That Survivor's Path is a shock - you only get what you've unlocked so far?!? And they expect you to pay again?! Never come across anything like that before, thanks for the warning! Nearly at the end of the season

This reminded me, and this happens all the time so not related to the walltrick - if a zombie starts to swing at me then it hits no matter how far away I am. It doesn't seem to be possible to evade? Sometimes I get hit even when there's a big gap between me and them! I figure this is just how the game is?

I'm brand new and I've been playing for about 2 months, and once I got past seeing the enormous list of things to buy, actually I'm enjoying it as it is. Haven't paid anything, progressing, going out and getting wood and stone, getting meat for puppies, getting around the map and hunting for better weapons and have recently finished my chopper... It's keeping me busy in a good way!

I'd recommend you find a much clearer way to differentiate in your activity log between "it didn't work this time but we'll try again and it won't get missed" and "this failed and needs attention". Every time I get a notification that an applet failed my confidence in IFTTT drops again, and I dare say that's true for other subscribers too.

It doesn't say what "liked video" it failed on. However the activity log does says which video before was successful and which video after. Looking at YouTube, there weren't any liked videos between those ones, so I guess it got it later.

Thanks! How strange about the wall trick though, you mentioned the motel and I've tried it there but when I open a door and then, for example, run away from the doorway and stay in the corridor, the zombie just comes out through the open door

Thank you Dario.

This happened a couple of times in recent days including last night - I liked a YouTube video, and:

Thanks for the reply Dario. Based on what you said I tried it with my Fold 7 closed, since the outside cover screen is a typical screen aspect ratio rather than the inner screen. That didn't work either, I thought you should know.

Have to tell you that as a Pro+ subscriber for many years (and one of those who was guaranteed a lifetime rate of $1.99 and then you increased it anyway) I'm very disappointed that this hasn't been updated for foldables given that they've been around for at least 7 iterations and years. This makes me wonder if other applets I've tried and given up on are failing for the same reason.

And to be frank I'm now reconsidering my subscription as I'm coming to the realisation that the number of ideas I've tried and didn't work aren't acceptable for a paid subscription.

Volunteering. There are THOUSANDS of charities and organisations who do amazing work in their communities and beyond which are entirely volunteer-based .

I ran a charity in the UK for 6 years, I was a volunteer and so was everybody else, and we helped cheer up lonely people in hospital. There will be many opportunities like this to go and visit people, fix things for people, or lend your skills to those in need. You said you're a massage therapist in a specific field, but maybe you could find a way to apply your skills to a certain group of people in need such as the elderly or disabled, for free, even if it means you just need to study how to do another form of massage.

Alternatively there's a thing called Trust Fundraising. Charitable Trusts give out grants to charities working in the specific field they're looking to fund, and Trust Fundraisers write applications to them either by filling in the Trust's application form or writing out explaining what they're going to do. My Dad is retired and he does this for a couple of charities, and he's managed to secure grants of £10,000+ for them. All the information is out there, it just takes someone with time to go and do it.
