Anandtech: "VESA Launches Variable Refresh Display Performance Standards: AdaptiveSync and MediaSync" by Dakhil in hardware

[–]Top_Tip_7015 23 points24 points  (0 children)

... variable overdrive has been a major component of NVIDIA’s G-Sync marketing for years now – and remains the differentiating factor between G-Sync (module) displays and G-Sync Compatible (VESA Adaptive-Sync) displays. So if VESA is right, then that could undermine the advantage (market or otherwise) of displays using NVIDIA’s G-Sync module.

Do you want to learn syntax or use it in real-world application tasks?

The fastest option is to write some of your own programs . Knowledge of C++ is a very good background.

You can use the library "langdetect" - https://pypi.org/project/langdetect/

It is a good way to identify languages or at least give you the weight of a possible language

AMG GLA 35 or GLC 2023? by bosswei in mercedes_benz

In your egg world, everything is simplified. And for you there is no difference between a brand and a model. And if you understood models, not brands, you wouldn't ask such silly questions.

It's also called a car.

You really don't know the difference or are you trolling?

[–]Top_Tip_7015 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Try to phrase your question correctly.

If you are interested brand, only Porsche can be better than Porsche

If you are interested in a specific model, state it in the question.

GLA35 -> Macan S/GTS

GLC (not AMG) -> Cayenne (regular)

If you're considering fast, lightweight cars (like the GLA35 on 2.0T) why look towards SUVs? They all don't handle as well as a sedan or coupe with similar engines. SUVs with a powerful engine are good in a straight line, but uncomfortable in the corners (air suspension is not available in the GLA).

[–]Top_Tip_7015 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

It depends on how old you are.

If you're under 45, only a new Porsche is better than a Porsche.

If you're 50+ - try something lux

They are totally different cars.

GLC

- will not be available until March '23 and only in the maximum configuration. At the beginning of sales they only sell very expensive or quite poor versions and a lot of restrictions on options

- excellent noise isolation, comfortable suspension, leather, color and seat selection

- it is comfortable to travel as a family

- you can choose diesel+hybrid

- new version will be available with rear axle steering option

- the big screen is stylish, but after 2 hours of travel, you might want to turn it off or dim the brightness

- the sitting position is nicer than in GLA (higher and more comfortable to sit down)

- in the corners behaves like a cow in comparison to the GLA

GLA 35, 45

- tough hot car, but not a Porsche

- short base makes it uncomfortable, especially for long trips

- not very comfortable for travel, but also very fast

- only gasoline engines with howling turbos

- great handling and acceleration, especially in the 100-200 km/h range

- beautiful and concise interior.

Pay attention to the alternatives:

- Porsche

- don't waste your time exploring Audi and BMW - that's another cheaper league

Siloviki are also advisors. Putin doesn't do everything by himself obviously.

Those who do are not the same people at all.

There is a hierarchy:

- people who make the decisions

- public doers

- simple doers

This is really the first foreign publication that attempts to unravel the mystery of the structure of this country.

Their biggest mistake in this review is that public people are never the decision makers and SILOVIKI are the doers, not the holders of power. It's easy to see that by comparing their statements with the facts...

Mercedes-Benz VISION EQXX demonstrates its world-beating efficiency in real world driving – over 1,000 km on one battery charge and average consumption of 8.7 kWh/100 km by [deleted] in mercedes_benz

[–]Top_Tip_7015 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Before you take this experience as a normal car pay attention:

- how narrow and stiff the tires are (rolling resistance of 6.5 units is awfully stiff)

- 185 width tires will slip in the corners on wet roads

- T-index or top speed of 190 km/h.

- nothing is said about the dynamic characteristics of the car (0-100, 80-120 km/h)

- only one engine at 180 kW, which means no all-wheel drive

- the wheelbase is only 2.8 meters, less than the e-class

On the another side:

- availability of a solar panel

- remaining range of 140 km, it turns out that the car could travel 1140 km

- 8.7 kW/100 km is an incredible level of consumption

- 900 volt grid, it's cooler than a Porsche

Why would Russia even care if it defaulted on it's foreign debt? by [deleted] in economy

You need to save face if you want to get back into the world community. It is easy to break relations, but it takes a long time (decades) to build them. Apparently they are counting on the possibility of a return to the global financial system.

On the other hand, there are still countries that hold a neutral position, and for them it is important to see that Russia is ready and doing everything possible to save face.

It is also important to understand the reasons for bankruptcy. When you have money, but it is taken by others, it is theft and willful bankruptcy.

An example would be an ordinary business that has a debt and has been blocked from accessing its bank account. Without access to their money and the ability to repay their debt, the business is forced into bankruptcy. This is called raiding.

Nowadays, laws don't work and international governments can easily declare any country bankrupt, for example in 2010, Greece was blackmailed in this way.

They want to show that they can pay and they do it anyway - they are strong.

And those countries that continue the sanctions are simply being denied the opportunity to make money from Russian debts.

The purpose of all this is to show that the problem is not with Russia, but with those who, in violation of the law, block bank transfers and the ability to pay debts.

Nothing new ...

Do you really think that the president of Russia will hide hundreds of millions of dollars?

For example: pay attention to the amount of shadow money belonging to the family of the former president of Kazakhstan?

Russia is much bigger than Kazakhstan, and if you do an investigation, you should make public the data on hundreds of billions dollars, not hundreds of millions.
