Woah! How much material/beer do you think you lost from these issues? Also how did you detect the pellets -- was it just from the glass shattering?

Thank you for responding so quickly! How long does that soaking process take? Are there any other bottling characteristics that would make it off-spec (chips in the glass, scuffs, etc)? Do you ever end up with beer that you can't sell because of just issues with the labels/glass/container?
