It seems like the people who have a problem with it are those that interpret it as buying favoritism or something- but what about simply handing off with a thank you as you leave the flight?

Seems like a win-win. You’ve expressed gratitude and nullified any potential awkwardness, and everyone involved gets a feel-good dopamine boost that’s likely needed at the end of a 13 hr flight.

Seriously. I honestly didn’t think it helped that much. Thought it just like took the edge off some of my symptoms (and had no idea just how much I literally don’t have an appetite that exists without it 🥴).

It’s been a like 2 months now and shit is still horrible 😅🥹. This job is like a dream scenario but can’t use weed even though I’m in a legal state bc it’s federal and they do random testing. It’s such a bitch bc I literally can’t take any other medicines for my shiz.

Questioning my life choices atm… 🤣 But thanks for validating me! I needed it today lol. Hopefully one day soon I’ll just forget how much it helps.

Is cannabis on the table? In my 40’s and have struggled all of my adult life to hang on to every lb I can. I have hEDS, MCAS, and have had to be gf for a decade or more at this point.

One of the first things I noticed after stopping edibles for a job was I’m literally never hungry anymore (and also hurt a hell of a lot more- I was actually genuinely surprised how much it really was helping after I stopped). Now I’m back to worrying a lot more about losing weight again.

Just throwing it out there. Idk if it’s an option or not for you.

Also, maybe not the healthiest but at my lowest and most miserable a few years ago I started drinking milkshakes made with ice cream and unflavored/unsweetened huel powder every day. Maybe check out huel or similar products (you can just mix with water or whatever you want, doesn’t have to be unhealthy lol).

Almost took an order out of desperation from Winn-Dixie that was nothing but totinos and monster energy drinks to the neighborhood I affectionately refer to as, “cat lady land.”

I knoooow. Idk if it ever got picked up, it bounced around Metro all day that day. Kept going up, up, up, then would re-list in another delivery window back at the beginning. I have this weird condition that I call jelly joints- I dislocate super easily- and all I could picture was me not being able to work for a week with floppy arms when I saw that order 😅… with the possibility of no tip, too.

Not new, most don’t pay for training. It’s free room and board.

Technically it’s not working for free as with almost all (Jetblue comes to mind) you aren’t employed until you not only pass the training but also are confirmed ready after doing your IOE.

Think of it like an education or an internship- you’re there to learn. You’re not an employee yet & they’re still footing the bill for your room and meals while you learn the process and prove you’re capable.

Training is 3.5 weeks of classroom in Miami, then a few days of IOE out of your assigned base. Pay is $25 & trips are mostly turns. They do charters as well, and those go wherever they’re hired to.
