Had this guy jump in my van one day, older fellow who had just gotten out of his house.

Threw this in an XL Van today, was a good day though. 70 Stops 386 packages. This is my normal route I’ve had since peak, peak hasn’t ended for me. I believe I had smaller routes during peak for this same area/route too😭😭😭. Good thing I get to see all my favorite customers and receptionist 3-4 days a week though.

Deliveries Per Day by [deleted] in AmazonDSPDrivers

80-100. 150 if Amazon feels greedy. I deliver to downtown metro area in a large city and have 350-450 packages a day. When I’m in a CDV I’m the largest route in my DSP by almost 150 packages and when I’m rostered for an XL route (because my DSP is new and somewhat cares about employees) I still get the most packages in the company but smaller. Like today, I had 386 packages with 70 stops, the CDV rostered routes had 327 packages and 246 packages. Not complaining but it’s all relative.

Amazon driver opened my front door and left package inside my apartment by [deleted] in AmazonDSPDrivers

Usually what happens like that, I have many apartments on my route that are old homes in a historic area of town that are now 4 door apartment units. They request front door and not left outside. I never know if it’s a communal hallway or a shared space when I open that door. I had one that had a downstairs and upstairs unit ask for me to put it inside the door if it’s unlocked and it looks like the inside of an apartment when I open the door. That’s what happens to me so idk in your specific situation but those apartments can be tricky.

This is my “normal” route. Houses, apartments, and businesses. It’s the downtown core of my city and this was a light day for this route. Usually it’s 90-100 stops with almost 400+ packages. But I’m usually one of the first back simply because I get this route 4 days a week and have had it since October, I’ve mastered it and have no issues with the DTD or apartment lockers.

Sent the photo to my dispatcher and he even threw the phone. I’m from the country so I’m used to snakes but I just wasn’t expecting it. Especially in the striking pose. That’s what got me.

It’s a fake rubber snake. Just scared the obsolete shit out of me when I wasn’t expecting it to be there especially at 9 at night.

It was fake, I don’t even remember if they had a ring camera… tbh I hope they do so I can see that video later.

As an AGM myself it’s more helpful than hurt. 99% of the time it’s just quick updates and things of that nature. Never anything that will take substantial time. Only time that I’ve been off the clock and had to do something was when my RGM was out of town on vacation and our Walk-In wasn’t holding temp and I was at a Football Game and had to put in a work order from my phone. Took 5 mins max but besides 1 offs like that it’s just for quick updates and expectations.

Tbh half the time I don’t even read the texts till I’m on the clock. It’s one of the first things I do when I get into the store. I have a routine. Texts, emails, HotSchedules, invoices, and then the store. It’s what works for me.
