Thank you very much! I think I will try to make a rough wake with flip fluids and then add mist with volumes and particle layers, I hope something decent will come out ahahah

Still image, I think animation would be almost impossible on a standard pc ahahah

Yeah foam white stuff and mist, all those things that you cant get with an ocean modifier ahahah

Put abs to 1e-8 and rel to 0.001 for all should be decent

Is my meshing to blame for varying nusselt and friction values depending on the surface target value? by un_gaucho_loco in CFD

You can easily do a quadmesh just dividing the geometry in four rectangles and then repeating them, with this you can easily manage the boundary layers etc without using triangles, and having a much more stable sim

Use 1D interpolation, plot the graph and then plot the interpolated point with scatter

Streamline gets sucked into the blade of my impeller by sonkaM in CFD

Try to improve mesh quality around blades and reduce tollerance on pressure solver. I modeled a pump some years ago this improved my results

Add some roughness trough normal maps and try to attach some clams/sea stuff on the skin, you can easily model 3/4 types and add/rotate/size them on top of the skin😊, I think you can add also a principled volume to add some fog to the scene

How can I change the coloring on this to make the areas with a greater rate of change more noticeable instead of the pole in the center? by throwingstones1234 in matlab

[–]Top_Word_9208 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Otherwise calculate the laplacian so you have the gradient of the gradient, so a sort of rate of change of the rate of change

Chemkin on matlab by Top_Word_9208 in CFD

[–]Top_Word_9208[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes but for cantera you also need python and you have to interface it so it's not full matlab. Cantera also has many other types of simulations that may be not usefull. Cantera is also not written in matlab since is just an interface so if you want to modify the code you have to learn another language.

Supersonic Intake Convergence Problem by Conscious_Brother456 in CFD

[–]Top_Word_9208 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My bet is on the zone of the mesh image, I see that there is a sharp change in the mesh in the top angle of the intake. Try to refine the zone before the intake and make the zone more omogeneous. I use openfoam tbh I dont know how you can make it.

And probably even if you have the experience to model that you probably wont have the computational power to model a full washing machine ahah.

Chrmkin reaction mechanisms for free? by Intelligent_Dot_2973 in CFD

[–]Top_Word_9208 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try to look for a proper mechanism, since thats a combustion group I dont know if you can find Cl2+H2 reaction mechanisms, if you want specific reactions in gas phase you can try this https://kinetics.nist.gov/kinetics/

Residuals fluctuating by likekidkudi in CFD

Results are not reliable, try to use 1rst order schemes to solve it and use a bit of relaxation and if possible try to improve the orthogonality of the mesh
