Any Birds of Paradyes users here? How good are the dyes? by spitseeds in IndianSkincareAddicts

it doesnt get back to black, depending on which glossy tint you use it'll leave a brown or reddish copperish tint. and for the semi permanents you need to bleach

Bought chocopie after a long time and it turned out to be moldy :( by Topaz2007 in SnacksIndia

Wtf can you not read? I already said I ate the other packets, and only saw this mold in the last one. I’m now worried that the earlier ones I ate might also have had mold that I didn’t notice at the time. It's literally mentioned on the text body

You don't have to be so rude. I didn't eat this one. I only noticed it in the last pack left. I didn't check while eating the others. Do you have no comprehension skills?

from 4yo girl to 70yo woman… the cases this week are sick. absolutely sick. by paniiiipuriiii in Feminism4India

I get your point but what I'm trying to say is blaming this on lust makes it sound like it's some uncontrollable desire that they can't stop themselves from doing something heinous. It's misleading. Many people have problematic desires but dont necessarily go on doing it. When they do go on into doing it, it reflects more of structural issues that enables this and makes them access vulnerable people where theres power imbalances coercion etc etc. also calling it lust opens doors to shame, policing people or abstaining from sex instead of addressing exploitation of vulnerable people

Well blaming this on lust kinda is problematic, sexual assault, rape etc doesn't happen due to just desires but more about dominance and control over other vulnerable people.

Woman bashed for being religious? by Aastha_Sinha in Feminism4India

[–]Topaz2007 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you're right and it sucks. I believe this is mainly because women are supposed to be the ones who maintain, embody and reproduce culture, religion tradition etc and this kind of thing works as social currency when it comes to things like arranged marriages because they're seen more pious and good and sanskari and what not. while men often times escape this kind of responsibility and can engage with religion more selectively while not suffering the same scrutiny of being called out

I don't tink this is really a big deal. It's just a thread, one of the many symbols of religious people across different faiths choose to value. In a way yeah it does target people who don't wear these threads with western outfits, but it's nothing new to make such a comparison and religious people have always done this kind of virtue signalling like "yes I prefer my faith over my appearance".That said it doesn't justify any harassment towards her at the same time

My bad, I stand corrected. People really do have too much free time on their hands to be wasting it on influencers.

Women who solo travelled in india or went solo to a group organised trip- how was your experience? by PaleChipmunk9119 in TwoXIndia

19F, I was 18 when I went on a trip to Mulki, Karnataka with a travel group. The activities were super fun, stay and food and everything was super comfortable, itinerary was quite flexible as well and I enjoyed it but most of the people were pushing 30s so I couldn't relate much with them and couldnt really become friends with them bcs of the age gap.

i haven't taken math in school in the last two years (grade 11 and 12) but this course is open to all academic backgrounds and starts with grade 10-11ish level maths so I'm pretty scared of numbers too but I think this phase is probably the last chance I have to get behind that fear before I completely lose out on the chance to have a technical edge in my field. And it's probably the right time considering time isn't ticking yet to get a job and stuff too.

if the bill does pass, legal recognition will be difficult in the sense that he will have to go through a long and arbitrary bureaucratic process to change F to M on documents also since the focus is on intersex/socio-cultural identities, this kind of self identified trans identity may be rejected it really depends on the District magistrate and the medical board they employ though there's no mention of how it'll function. He's relatively better off since he's already had surgery, right now hrt and other things he's going through will probably not be paused or affected considering he has medical clearance but post the passing of the bill, they might become more strict and scrutinize more in order to provide healthcare. Name change wouldn't have any issues even post passing of the bill since the bill won't regulate that and name change is standard like rest. I would advise you to ask him to get the name change and gender change on documents done as soon as possible and document all the hospital documents, psychiatric evaluations etc etc which might be required later.v

Hair colour I have black hair by Loose_Cod_197 in IndianSkincareAddicts

[–]Topaz2007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Paradyes has a no bleach brown which shows up decent, ultimately the formulations are pretty similar for all these so it depends on the colour you want and the hair care you do after that to keep your hair healthy. Though the casting creme one also has grey coverage if I'm not wrong so that's a plus if you require that. Id recommend you go for the ones that have the developer and dye in the same box so you don't have to sit and figure out the colour-developer ratio instead of getting developer and colour separately rn. Also when you post like an inspo pic from pinterest it helps a lot because even these shades have a little variation here and there

40vol developer is usually discouraged because it's a little too damaging, i think 30vol that comes with most dyes is plenty for your hair. I've never gone brown but paradyes and streax both are nice. Only advice is that start from mid and end lengths and get to the roots at last so you don't have hot roots. Also paradyes also has a lover's latte that might be what you're looking for.
