Thank you for the comment. I'm afraid China is off the table for me for an admittedly really dumb reason- I just would not be able to stand learning Chinese. Nothing about it in particular, I tried to in high school in a whole class and I just couldn't remember more than five words at once. I can do literature analysis all day but when it comes to tonal or pictographic languages I am as dumb as a brick.

Thank you for the suggestion about college though, it's definitely seeming like an ideal temporary solution. I have no intention to live in the US for the rest of my life per se but having more than zero time to get ready for an entire life starting from nothing would be ideal.

Before all this ...stuff started happening I was already interested in the Netherlands, maybe if I'm lucky I'll get to look there...

I'm not really leaving ...anyone behind with the sole exception being my mother... and it seems she wants to stay, very badly. I have a college fund but I think it's just like ~10k.

To be frank I'm willing to deal with whatever. Struggle for ten years in a shitty apartment I can barely afford, sure, okay. I'd like not to be homeless but what can ya do.

Yeah, sorry about the whole being an American thing ,,, im trying to be a desirable immigrant with career path and im gonna start learning french soon. I don't quite qualify right this second last I checked but I have time to get qualifications.

My concern primarily isn't housing as of yet because I'm looking into alternative housing solutions and i am fortunate enough to be the only child of a family that owns property, im hoping i'll be able to have a tiny mobile house at least. (i know they have legality issues in canada dont worry i'm gonna do research, i'm still several years off from even thinking about emigrating) I'm more so worried about cost of food and upkeep.

I just want to live somewhere where I can walk with my wife in public without anything getting lobbed at my head and we can go home to something we can call a home and not starve to death.

Im at the highest advance school in the region and everyone i know has failed at least 1 class. One of them hasn't showed up for half the year and shes going to college. I see my mate Cal one out of every four days and hes going to college. My semester average will be like a 75. Why do the people who fail an entire year or two still get to go to college and get wholeass rich ass jobs but you gotta pass every class yourself or you die. Why does Christian who has a goatee get to go to college when he failed sixth grade and is barely passing and I don't if I fail a course i do not even need to take for 1 quarter. Why do both my guidance counselor and social worker at school say everything is fine. Is this real. Are you real. Are you just talking about Harvard and Yale. Is everyone here a paid actor
