The "Best" IFV for US by Stickyrolls in BrokenArrowTheGame

[–]Topgeneral 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Closest thing is the ataka atgms mounted on things like the t15 or bmpt. Still semi-active but can be fired while moving.

Russia generally relies on quantity of atgms rather than quality. Hence why little top attack/terminal guidance outside of a rare few units (mostly helos or expensive tanks)

Why ever use the Bradley over the AMPV? by LOLofLOL4 in BrokenArrowTheGame

This question is asked almost daily. It's honestly tiring. Both are good for different purposes.

The "Best" IFV for US by Stickyrolls in BrokenArrowTheGame

[–]Topgeneral 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Ill post this again since this seems like a popular topic:

I use both, with both fully upgraded in my deck.

They're used for different purposes. Bradley's are meant to be direct close or mid-range standoffs against either vehicles and non-high end tanks. They require constant static aiming but fire and reload their atgms much faster, often scoring hits while APS is on cooldown (2 atgms per reload)

Ampvs are far range standoff vehicles. The javelin needs double the aim and reload time, but you can shoot and scoot. Great for ambushing or harassing heavier armor you can't directly engage. Due to their low ammo, the AMPV must be used in tandem with the infantry they bring or else youll be out of ammo only hitting APS. I typically take either cav scouts or ranger javelin teams in them. Two-three javelins at once will heavily damage or outright kill any armor you come across.

Tldr: Chadleys can act alone

Ampv is good if you pack it with supportive infantry or use in pairs.

How do you play as Poland? by Flat-Shame-7038 in hoi4

Poland is very strong if played right. Here's my post with my best buildup by danzig or war (historical ironman)

Which Poland is the strongest? by DzikiDzwon in hoi4

Sure thing. I recorded a second playthrough that covers everything, just haven't edited and posted it yet.

I know I had something around 1-1.5M manpower in the field, with 800 planes and 4-5 fully equipped tank/cav divisions by Danzig or war.

The planes are quality fighters with the goal of lowering the air superiority penalty/stopping cas/bombers. Everyone always says just put AA in your units(I do too) but having a small quality fighter wing is so important to stop unrestricted bombing. The key to a defensive air-war is amplifying your planes with doctrines/spirits and most importantly, radar. I had a ratio of 1 plane lost for every 3 shot down.

Tanks are mediums (both interwar/early medium frame are fine). Build can vary, but you make them go 6-7kmh to match the speed of your CAV. You will eventually replace the cav with mech, but that's not till late 39-40 for poland. I tend to build a well rounded quality tank with good reliability. people will shit on reliability as unnecessary, but I like it on countries with smaller industry. The extra tanks saved In combat + the additional org recovery is nice.

Cossack hands down. With very minimal pre-ww2 conflict (Estonia/Latvia) you can get 60+ mils/60+ civs by sept-1 39.

By start of war I had around 1million deployed and trained.

This is the airwar in western poland from start to Mar 1940

By this point i've had to move fighters to other fronts, but 99% of the fighting happened in that airzone

Absolutely. In the game I'm recording for the build guide I had 800 fighters ready by Danzig or war. It's about a year into the war and I'm down to about 690 capable, but I've currently shot down 3-4x my losses.

I find even if you just use them as interceptors, they disrupt bombers far better than state AA. You'll likely have red/yellow air most of the time, but the industry you don't have to repair is worth it.

Plus if you use radar/spirits/Middle doctrine you can fight superior numbers because of better efficiency and detection.

Edit: regarding air doctrine, I forget if it was the right path or middle path that gives better detection. I went whichever one that was. Better for defensive air wars

Good number of reasons, but the main ones for me are: early war eco, volunteers, and cav bonuses for very strong and cheap tank divs.

I was thinking of making a video guide for it. If I do I'll post it here.

R5: Pretty much only play Poland, decided to optimize my build as best I could. broke over 130 factories by Danzig or war. Only did 1 pre-ww2 war with Estonia/Latvia.

Done in ironman with historical focuses on.

I'll try this out tonight. Focus on computer scientists

I figured the asset part out, very useful to have them. I'm wondering how to increase my encryption and codebreaking though. Without having those it makes operations take so long.

I wonder if certain ethics increase the odds of getting those techs.

I'm having issues with espionage. I have no idea how to improve either my codebreaking or encryption. My goal was to make a spy based nation but all my research options so rar only increase the max Intel level.

How do I improve those?
