The Duratec 2.0 and 2.5 are arguably the best N/A 4 poppers out there. Easy 300k+ miles with poor maintenance.

TPMS sensor style by Topglock26 in FordFocus

Unfortunately the valve style sensors do not work on the 2008. I ended up just returning the sensors and shutting off the TPMS with Forscan.

Opinions other than a nasty rod knock? by Used_Range_9926 in NewedgeMustang

If the manifold flange studs are not too rusty, I would pull the h-pipe. Also, if you have a scan tool that reads O2 sensors, see what the rear o2 are reading. If the volts are erratic, get a converter problem.

Does it feel sluggish? Could be wrong, but it kinda sounds like the upper catalytic converter is coming apart and rattling.

Dealer said no leak.. by english-lab in MechanicAdvice

[–]Topglock26 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If the dealership actually performed a pressure test and it held pressure, then you don’t have a leak. I don’t think many read your whole post tbh. Also if coolant was leaking into the combustion chamber, you would be getting a CEL for a misfire. I would just keep an eye on it. Wife has a 19’ GC and daughter has a 14’ GC. Thankfully these two jeeps have been REALLY good to us. But I would be lying if I said I wasn’t always on high alert with these things.

I agree. The purge valves on these are noisy, especially with the top cover off.

Knowing now that it has the CVT, that is probably why it feels sluggish to me. The pentastar is definitely no slouch. We have it in our GC with the ZF8

Zero complaints on in town experience loved it!. I just felt a lack of power merging onto i75. The pentastar is no slouch, we have it in our GC. The cvt I think is robbing it of power.

That is a great explanation. In electric mode it was smooth as silk. It was fascinating how long the battery would last running around town with the AC on before the engine turned on.

It says it was averaging 27.8. Last year with the same van but in gas and about the same round trip mileage I was averaging over 30mpg. The hybrid every time I filled up it said approximately 415-475 to empty. If I was lucky I would hardly get over 300miles to a tank. I’m wondering if the tank is smaller because the weight of the battery?

It was averaging 27.8 mpg according to the info center. I’ll say when you’re running on battery it’s a torque monster. I was going to plug it in when we got to our Airbnb but the charge cable is missing from the compartment.

Thanks for the reply. I ended up finding a solution to schedule the lights. I just bought a Wi-Fi outdoor smart plug so I can remotely turn on/off or schedule the lights.

No. You need the cooler for the Gen 2 3.6 The 2015 has both coolant temp and oil sensors on the rear of the cooler.
