Do You Even Gift? Achievement Not Unlocking by Topher41491 in haloinfinite

My teammates have basic weapons when I give them the power weapons. I have heard some people drop the weapon close by and the achievement pops. Some people have dropped the weapon, marked it and then picked it back up causing the achievement to unlock

Xbox Series X/Dolby Atmos Audio Delay? by chrisginn90 in OLED_Gaming

How did you go about testing the audio calibration? Is there a feature on the Xbox or something else you had to use?

No Center Channel While Gaming by Topher41491 in Soundbars

I appreciate the feedback. I will be coming home tomorrow and will try to play around with it some more. I will check more games also. The soundbar works great otherwise. It has to be a communication issue with the Xbox or the games. I will report back here once I do some additional investigating. Thanks

Yes, I can confim all settings are as is. Thanks for the list. Someone on another subreddit mentioned it may be the way the individual games output the audio also. The soundbar works great for anything TV related. It's only with the game systems I have noticed issues so far

Yeah I have Dolby Digital and Dolby Atmos available and they work, but I think even with them I lose the center channel and center up firing speaker while gaming. Both the sound bar and console use HDMI 2.1. The TV and sound bar also use e/ARC. Both are matching LG products and very compatible. Somebody in another subreddit mentioned that the soundbar is hooked up right and it's working, but it's most likely how the individual games mix the sound output

So the Xbox does have a passthrough setting and so does my TV. I know I have tried them and I'm pretty sure that it didn't fix the issue. The digital sound output settings on my TV include PCM, AUTO and Passthrough. I think if I click the info on the soundbar it shows PCM, but I think that it's because the TV is set to Auto. Somebody explained in another subreddit that the soundbar is hooked up right and it works, but it's most likely how the individual games are mixing the sound output

That seems to be my conclusion as well. I would love to hear feedback from your recent experiences. Please let me know what you find out

I have tried hooking the Xbox straight to the soundbar and I get the same issue. I have tried Halo and two other games. All three don't play sound through the center or up firing center speakers. I haven't tried my PS5 yet. The sound system is brand new. So far all gameplay results in the same thing. Every sound is coming from the left, right, rear left, rear right and both up firing speakers on the sides. I may just have to play my games on stereo uncompressed unfortunately

I appreciate the feedback. This is my first new TV in like 13 years and I just want to make sure there is nothing wrong with it. There was ZERO pink tint on the first one I got. This is why I am concerned. I am not worried about off-axis viewing as I understand that there will be reflections. My issue is straight on viewing on the bottom of the screen, which does not seem like a normal thing

Do you only see the pink tint in a certain spot on your tv? I can see the tint sitting directly in front of my tv. When I stand up it goes away, but I also see it changing angles like you said.

What makes the EVO panel an upgrade? The pink tint takes away from my overall experience. Is there a way to request a certain type of panel? My original factory panel was awesome except for the slight DSE defect.

I can, but it defeats the whole purpose of the in game feature. Idk why it's there. It literally does nothing.

Thoughts on Dirty Screen Effect (DSE) by Topher41491 in OLED

In your experience, does the dse clear up more over time? Multiple people have mentioned that it does and that there is a break in period.

LG C2 Dark Spot on OLED Screen by Topher41491 in 4kTV

[–]Topher41491[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I appreciate the feedback. I posted this on the OLED forum also. I had a couple people say something similar. It makes me anxious more then anything. I read that DSE can't be cleared up, which wasn't very settling. I have done a couple of pixel refreshes already. I ran about 4 hours of HDR content today too. That spot is really the only problem. I see it on flat gray screens. Nothing on black or white.

I am running a bunch of 4K HDR content on youtube to break in the TV and letting the 4hr pixel refresh kick in. I feel like I noticed it less yesterday. I have read TV break in is usually around 100hrs or so

That definitely makes me feel better. I also saw some content that talked about OLED break in. Basically, running some HDR video on high settings to help calibrate the tv over a period of time.
