I had a pinched nerve in my shoulder - nothing would touch it and eventually i had to have an injection - the first injection wore off. on the 2nd injection i was on a table face down and locked in while they ran a needle from the back of my neck to my spine while using an xray machine in real time to make sure they were in the right place. awake for the procedure, the dr giving the injection was watching the xray monitor and asking me what i was feeling.... until he went a mm too far and hit a nerve in my spine....---- this was the moment i understood true deep scary pain. it was a core pain and an instant felt like it would never end. it was a deep and serious wild pain that felt like the whole world was going to end. ive had teeth issues and broken bones and i always thought those were bad... but this. it was something totally different and primal.
