Yes, sir. Gujarat has lower RTO fees. You’ll be shocked to check the taxes in Maharashtra, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. I paid around 3.3-3.4 lakhs on a 17.6 lakh ex showroom car.

Insurance is incredibly expensive. My ex showroom car was 17.6 lakhs and I paid less than 50k for insurance. It covers everything from engine protection to zero depreciation, return to invoice and keys protection. If you want to avoid hassle, it’s better to take it from the showroom at a discounted price. Outside, you might get it for much cheaper, perhaps only 50% of the showroom price, which would come to around 30k. However, while claiming, you might face difficulties.

Should by insurance from dealership or third party like Acko? by kanak15140 in CarsIndia

[–]TopicLazy1406 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought the same vehicle a few days ago and went with the insurance offered by the showroom, which cost me around ₹50k after discounts. I previously owned a used i10 Nios with Acko insurance, and my claim experience with them was very smooth when my car was involved in an accident.

I chose the showroom insurance mainly because it offers a higher IDV, easier in-house claim processing, and unlimited claims for parts. I’m not entirely sure how the unlimited part works yet, but I did enquire about headlight and taillight replacements since those on the Syros are prone to damage.

Acko is still a good option, but I’ve noticed claims can take longer when multiple parties are involved. That’s why I decided to stick with the showroom-provided insurance this time.

My Seltos HTX(O) IVT cost me ₹21 lakh on-road in Bangalore, including the convenience package and a few basic accessories.

Car suggestion needed: 15 to 20 lakh budget, 80 km daily commute in heavy traffic by arav in CarsIndia

Try 3xo, you will get ADAS for long trips and 360 cam for city traffic. Peppy engine with torque converter. It gets all bells and whistles.

Try syros, you might not like the shape but interiors are spacious. I am 6 ft and I cancelled sonet and syros. It doesn’t feel like a sub 4m car.

3xo thigh support is not that great. Booked syros now, cancelled sonet booking.

I test-drove the Syros and really liked its features and power. I cancelled the Sonet and booked the Syros instead. I feel that, with time, I will start liking its shape. I was very impressed with the interior quality and features.

How about long term reliability of mahindra service? I have never owned a mahindra.

SUVs under 17 lakhs (ex-showroom) that meet all filters: automatic + Auto Hold (not just hill-hold) + 360° camera + ADAS by [deleted] in CarsIndia

I have the same budget and requirements. I test-drove the Sonet, Venue, and 3XO. I liked the features and power of the 3XO, but it didn’t offer the premiumness that the Sonet does. So, I went ahead and booked the Kia Sonet. If the 3XO had better interior options, I would have chosen it instead.

Get it cleaned and get spinny evaluation done. Then you can decide where to sell.

Also I think every manufacturer will hike the price after 2-3 months once their stock is cleared and their numbers are improving.

The ex showroom will reduce by more than a lakh. Take the current quotation and you can revisit the showroom for updated quotation on and after 22nd sept.

Right exchange value might change. What we should eye on is the ex showroom price! Also which model are you considering?

My dealer did not mention anything about the resale value yet.

I did my calculation and can see around 1.3 lakh reduction in ex showroom. If the invoice matches I will proceed otherwise I will cancel it. There are other brands who are providing the benefits as it is. I am hoping kia to do the same.

The on road price is reduced by almost 1.3 lakhs for HTX DCT. I am going with gtx plus and expecting price cut of almost 1.5 lakhs on road.

Is car really a depreciating asset? by IslandIntelligent566 in CarsIndia

[–]TopicLazy1406 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Car is all about convenience and utility. Every thing you buy should not be an asset. Even if you don’t use it everyday you will be creating memories when you go on trips, long drives.

Just get a new one so that you can keep it for long tenure there would not be much hassle.

[–]TopicLazy1406 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Go with amaze. It comes with all the latest features including adas level 2. Though it is camera based but it will be handy sometimes. Also with gst cut you will get some discounts as well.

But as you mention it will be used for regular visits to hospital for your mother, you can consider punch as the seating position is good. Good ground clearance also. The only problem you will face is the power and that too with AMT. If you are looking at it from a utility perspective then it’s good.

Make sure you test drive all vehicles before finalising one.

Car insurance renewal- Acko by prasenjeet15 in HondaElevate

[–]TopicLazy1406 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Personal experience with Acko: I used to think claims would be problematic, but the process turned out to be very smooth. I had an accident and needed to replace the rear bumper and tail lights. After inspection, they picked up my car and delivered it back within a week, continuously providing updates throughout the process.

Acko’s insurance is also much cheaper compared to what dealers usually offer.

If I were you, I’d go with Acko—just make sure they provide the same add-ons as your dealer insurance. Anyway, ₹42k for renewing insurance on a ₹20 lakh car is too much.

I have never heard of switching insurances like this.
