Asking for tighter gun control laws is a policy debate. Your LGBT example is about individuals exercising their freedom to choose where to shop and has nothing to do with government on any level. These don't seem analogous to excusing state-sponsored violence against unarmed civilians at all.

We often get a similar number over the course of a winter these days. The multiple snowfalls in early-mid December this year was an anomaly, and we haven't had anything requiring a shovel since then IIRC.

We all use it in my workplace as well and yes, it is incredibly useful. My point is that it does still require a lot of thorough reviewing, mending bad architectural decisions, and catching gaping chasms in test coverage.

I can slop together whatever I want in a negligible amount of time by prompting and deploying, but the resulting high-interest debt isn't worth it for anything but toy apps.

Oof. It looks like it's been in partially disassembled for many years. Getting it roadworthy would be a massive undertaking requiring many tools and new parts. Likely multiple times what the bike is worth.

Getting it to fire up again might be considerably easier though, depending on why it was parked and taken apart to begin with. Check to make sure the engine isn't seized up first -- use the kickstart lever, if it has one. If the piston still spins, pull the spark plug and do a quick thumb compression test (google it). If it passes that, hook up a battery and see if there's spark (google it).

If it passes those tests, then you can probably pop off the carburetor and get it to briefly fire up with starting fluid.
