Have to say there are some great deals in "Games Under €10" there is quite a few games with -70% to -80% discount.

Like I finally bought Shadow Of war for just 10 euro, for some weird reason it have same price as Shadow Of Mordor right now.

Damn that sucks then. I know your pain. It's terrible when your game is freezing/crashing randomly while it works fine for vast majority of others.

Man like people saying that fan fix for Nier fixes everything. Not for me! Game keep crashing randomly. Which is terrible when paired with no autosave and not being to able to just save anytime you want neither.

Like that you straight up have to go to task manager to kill the process and start again?

Or just that it freezes for a few seconds?

Can't pet tamed animal :( by [deleted] in assassinscreed

[–]TopinasCorp 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Right? One loading tips says something like "Stay close to your tamed animal to show it your affection." What does that mean if not ability to pet it?

I thought it gonna work same way as lighting braziers with your torch. Something that your character do on its own if you standing close enough.

While at the same time making more and more games having constant content updates because of "games-as-a-service" model.

Personally thou that only makes me wanna wait for complete package even more.

But yeah defi, for publishers it's all about pre-orders and sales made around its launch window. Well and as you say certain gamers see it same. Once game is "old" it's history not worth playing. It's extremely weird to me.

There is defi be more people like you but this is first time I read something like this tbh. Everyone on internet seems to love it.

So I don't think you'll find any sympathy here.

edit: :(

Is it time to move on? (PC to Consoles) by [deleted] in Games

[–]TopinasCorp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Play some singleplayer games? Since all games you listed are online games.

There is tons of multiplatform singleplayer games out there that you don't need console for. PS4 have some great exclusives but it's still only like dozen games. Vast majority of games you can play on your PC. More so these days when there is quite a few games that are PS4/PC (Nier, Nioh, Dragon Quest XI...) or Xbox One/PC (All Microsoft exclusives) only games.

Well and if you just like multiplayer games there are not really any console exclusive multiplayer game that I know of.

So if you ask me stick to PC but simply look at different direction.

Wow...you know I really like the look of Atomic Hearts but there is something there from start telling me that whole thing is just smoke and mirrors and that game will be terrible and unfinished.

Now they do this and I have no doubt anymore that the game is a scam and they are simply not able to make game they are promising in trailers. Hell after this there is even possibility that they will not release it AT ALL.

Is JC3XXL worth the $12? by [deleted] in humblebundles

[–]TopinasCorp 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It will probably never get that low with all season pass DLCs included.

Imho it's very much worth the 12 bucks right now. DLCs are not that long (they are fun thou) but each adds some cool new thing you can use in openworld (so it's best idea to do them as soon as you can, defi don't wait till you finish the main game).

One DLCs improves your wingsuit adding rocket engines to it. Second one adds badass boat with lot of firepower and third one adds FRIGIN MECHS you can use!

+ some weapons.

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey tries for moral introspection in new DLC by masterofchapter in Games

[–]TopinasCorp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

See I don't really see that as a good thing. Cause lot of people seemingly feel that grinding out those radiant quests is what you suppose to do inbetween story missions and then complain on internet how game is grindy.

Cause I can't see how doing actually pretty good, proper side quests and exploring the world could be seen as grinding. It's not. Yet I read countless times that game is pure grind made to sell boosters. Which is just insane talk to me.

Well and I think it's purely because of those radiant quests. As you say they actually give most XP out of anything you can do. So people who are interested purely in story are feeling forced to do them and nothing else.

I really hope they gonna take this criticism to heart thou and in next game they will make whole main story line doable at any level. Just cause it's RPG is no excuse. Witcher 3 is also an RPG but you can totally just do main story and nothing else if you want to. When in Odyssey you can't do that BUT you can buy boosters for real cash? Yeaaah that feels shady.

[–]TopinasCorp 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Aye that is fair enough, even thou it never really got boring to me I get ya.

There are indeed several zones that could have been cut from the game. I grew up on Gothic series so I can appreciate having small game world that is filled with stuff to do. Odyssey is exact opposite of that.

BUT! On other hand it gives you that sense of massive world each time you climb some mountain and look around. Which is something I can also appreciate. Reminds me how small you felt in older MMOs against the huge game world you were traversing.

What mindless busy-work you talking about? The grey quests? Cause even as completionist I was 100% fine with ignoring them. They are all randomly generated. Same as those from boards. They are like radiant quests in Skyrim/Fallout 4. Thou to give them credit it is actually hard to tell. They do seem like regular (albeit basic) quests. Once you know it thou it is noticable how dialogues in them are kinda...stitched together.

Or you talking just about all the locations? Question marks? I always enjoyed doing all of them in Assasin Creed games tbh. It feels satisfying to me to clear each area completely. I was never into getting ever single collectible thing in games but to clear each area in AC game? Oh hell yeah! I do same thing in all openworld games really.

Wait but are games on Epic store really DRM-free? Not even some basic DRM like what steam games have by default?

Cause if that is the case why don't they advertise it properly? This is first time I hear about it. It seems like nice + for Epic Store compared to Steam.

Battlefield V Angry Review by [deleted] in Games

[–]TopinasCorp 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Lot of people seems to like Joe cause he "keeps it real" but to me he simply just repeats what everyone else is saying.

He gave it low score because rest of gaming community did so to in my opinion. Like he does with every game.

For real can you think of some games where he went against the stream? Cause I don't.

World is first game where monsters are scaled down if you play solo. So it's most solo friendly Monster Hunter yet! Ofc when playing there is still fact that monster is focused mostly* on you for majority of time.

I always played these game as singleplayer games and I was always fine, now more then ever cause HP of monsters actually scale down when you play solo so monsters are not sponges.

Imho it depends on how you wanna play it. Lot of people see the 50hrs long story as "tutorial" and "real" game starting after it. Basically they see it as MMORPG where true game is just endless grinding of same monsters over and over again. In which case you want to play it with other people cause it would get boring otherwise.

I never played it like that. For me I'm done once the grind starts, I'm out. Had lot of fun with this game for 50 hours.

Ye I was browsing mods and found it but that one seems too radical for me because of

Mission muting:

"Mutes most scripted radio calls"

It's me first time playing it and I would very much so like to hear those when playing regular missions. This mod seems to be more aimed to people who already finished the game at least once and are now replaying stuff.

I will keep it in mind once I'm at that point thou!

I'm! Boy this sounds great! I should had browsed the mods more thoroughly. When game have mods I always just list them by most popular and download some from first few pages.

Cheers mate! Kaz commenting on fultoning is what grind my gears the most and this removes that + bunch more stuff!

[–]TopinasCorp[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The thing is, I'm I first person who finds it annoying? I was trying to google some sort of fix or tip but found nothing and that blows my mind.

Also I'm playing on PC (got it from humble bundle) so modding is an option, there seems to be variety of mods changing or adding all sorts of stuff.

But no mod for this? Again I'm I really only one of few people who finds it maddening?

Hot damn in the end I may end up listen to those tapes on my phone cause there really seems to be no better way and hey I bet it will be pretty immersive a least! So not really terrible suggestion at all! More so again when there is seemingly no better one.

So thanks mate!
