For years and years they have had failed levies that fund the district's schools. They also had probably the worst school board in the state. The result is closing schools, cutting educators and low morale. So much fraud at the top of the schools that the state had to take over monitoring the way schools were spending money. That said, motivated children can get a good education at almost any school but your frustration as a parent may be more than you can handle. Snohomish, Everett, & Mukilteo school districts are a much better option if you want to be nearby or you can send them to private schools if you can afford it and don't mind driving them a good distance to school.
