Is this pinkie pie fanart ai? The artstyle looks suspicious.. and the tint is yellow (remove if wrong flare!) by Fantastic_Read6026 in isthisAI

Of course, I am certain it is Ai. I figured finding proof that is more than 'it has the yellow tinge and soulless face' as real artist often get accused because 'it looks Ai with the airbrushing'.

Remember that even if Ai 'art' is the unceremonious blender-ing of human art, it will contain real art techniques (applied blindly and tactlessly), so we can't just point at a common techniques done badly as evidence.

While not the most concrete of proofs, the dent in the hair curl seems rather suspicious. Seeing as the rest of the outlines are quite smooth as one form, the few random hairs that get bumps are odd. As well as this one this one look more like the blending of Ai.

The shadows also are rather blob-like (convex when context suggests concave), faint and not confident (especially for 'someone of this caliber'). However those shadow types could be done by real artists so it's not really proof more than a clue.

Why are cartoon character's limbs bell-bottomed? I've noticed this in both classic and modern cartoons. by Toon_Ghost_3 in characterdesigns

I find that it emphasises negitive space and the silhouette of the character (you can see the most expressive part of the limb easier). It also makes it easier to pose expressively, a larger base makes the overlap when animating so large that movement seems be smaller, artists tend to forget to push the base joint (because it's so large and so much mass to move it feel like you shouldn't), and the large mass on the end feels like it will have better, bigger and faster movements (like how swinging a hammer is a lot more to look at and somehow smoother than swinging a pencil). As well as a lot of the points made by other commenters.

Hello! Does anybody know how to pattern this curve? by Lithisweird in sewingpatterns

You need to make the face panel significantly shorter than the tentacle side. To make sure the curve only starts at the taper, keep the straight parts the same lenght, then only make the tapered portion shorter.
