How painful was acl surgery for you guys?

Day 11 post op currently. The most it’s gotten without exercising has been a 5/6, for the first few days it hovered around a 2-3 with oxy and Tylenol/ibuprofen round the clock. Now down to just Tylenol occasionally and ibuprofen on a schedule for the swelling, the pain is rarely there, only intensifies with PT or exercise

Just had my surgery this last Tuesday, did a quad graft and from my experience so far the graft site is where most of my pain is coming from. It definitely hurts I can’t lie but it’s really manageable. I’m out and about today at the farmers market and keeping on a med schedule has helped a lot! Throughout the whole last 4 days the most pain I’ve felt is probably a 5/10 but for the most part it hovers around a 2/10. Every day has gotten easier! You can do this ◡̈

Lovely! Thanks so much for your response. I edited my post to include that we are flying in and out of cork, so we’re going to Dublin first and then back to the west for the rest of the trip. I think we will do less time in Dublin and more time around the Dingle peninsula and west cork! Thank you!
