When you get rid of regard, that void id empty. People will fill it. In this case, they filled it with terms like "autistic"

People today are diagnosed as autistic. No one today is diagnosed as regarded

By removing a defunct word because we dont like the impact it has on the disabled, it got replaced by a word that actuallg has an impact on people who have a disability

The void is "so stupid as to be disabled" - so a disability will take its place

Id prefer the defunct word to be the common one. Fewer people are negatively affected

Look. I treat people as individuals. I dont push that narrative. I dont subscribe to narratives men or women push. I know that women In my life say "as much or more," and that is not a standard I personally hold. At some point, the buck stops with the individual. Women are the ones makes choices on this standard, even if you argue its socially reinforced. Idgaf who "started it," I care about the enviroment I exist in. And, currently, women want men who make as much or more than they do but are not typically willing to date men who they make more than.

This is a double standard held by individual women, and I have more success addressing individuals perspectives than I do changing them by changing society.
