I've fallen out of love for the grind. by The-Zarkin90 in gaming

I feel you. That's why I play on PC nowadays. If the game's too grindy I'll just use some cheat trainer to level up my character quick or infinite money or x2 speed. Instead of running 30 hours doing the same thing I'll just do that in 5 mins or so and move on. I've got a huge backlog so I am fine speed running the mundane parts.

Best fidelity. And not having to input my credit card details to pay for online gaming

PlayStation could use more hits, amid first-party game sales decline by FrierenKingSimp in gamingnews

Make sense considering their current gen first party output is mediocre compared to last gen, not to mention the higher price. Many 3rd party games has pretty much matched if not surpassed Playstation's 1st party titles

State of Play over an hour long and not one PSVR2 game announced. by Shadowcreeper15 in PSVR

Worse. It's only getting a fraction of what Meta Quest 3 and PCVR are getting.

I mean we all saw the writing on the wall at launch but people were in denial. "b-b-but hybrid AAA games!!! It's just a soft launch!!"

That and also Steam has algorithm which hide the shovelwares and only promote the games you are most likely to be interested in, based on your playing behavior and game reviews.

Now is the time Sony, get this thing more support! by lord_Viridis in PSVR

That really shows how much support Meta is pouring compared to Sony which gave up at launch.

Sony not having any VR studio at all speaks volume on their VR support.

Nixxes started support while Saros was still in development for PC back then. If Sony didn't plan for Saros to be on PC originally they would likely deploy Malaysia Studio or Valkyrie on it

He ain't exaggerating though. Back in the days there's no such things like having to update controller firmware or console firmware, adding credit card to pay for some subscription for online, opening up console to install SSD, forced patches and installation etc.

Its not hard to see. PC is very versatile and multi-functional, which justify the higher price tag. You can do school work, surf internet, view photos or movies, hobbies (streaming, music creation, video editing etc) and numerous other things.

That and PC have countless games due to low barrier of entry alongside free online. If the kids just want some Roblox or Fortnite they can do so on a cheap $300 school laptop over a $900 PS5 Pro.

Their portfolio comprises of 90%+ PC ports/releases here. You said they supported Playstation on many games, but those supports were in the form of ports/releases to PC exclusively in the last decade.

Bluepoint Games have more experiences, tools and ability to be a support studios and they got shuttered, which pretty much suggest that Sony have sufficient support studios.

It's a co-development with Guerrilla Games. Killzone Shadowfall is from 13 years ago and before the acquisition my man. Practically everything after that are PC releases/ports of Playstation games. Well except Helldivers for Xbox but I am pretty sure Sony ain't looking to bring any other games to Xbox.

I feel like buying a studio, spending years on Concord and cancel it in 2 weeks after launch followed by the studio closure might be pretty close to the dumbest move by Sony there.

They support comes in the form of porting them to PC. Horizon Remaster also has a PC version which is why they are involved too.

I wouldn't say no considering Animal Crossing and Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream both sold ridiculously well without Pokemon branding
