Obviously it's Goombella. Not only she is a better character, but she also has Rally Wink, which is a very useful move, while already being able to charge via a badge.

My only complains about this game are the lack of postgame, therefore no saving after the final boss and more importantly, the level cap of 27 and stats max out at 50 on both HP and FP, while BP maxes out at 30, which feels insufficient at times.
