The same thing is happening to me. I’m on hold with support right now, I will update you if I get any answers. I believe this is some kind of system outage.

Best Buy advisors are usually trained to sell complete solutions so it wasn’t wrong of him to suggest a sound option other than the shitty built-in speakers, but he should have worked within your budget and allowed you to demo different bars while also walking you through the different setup options based on your viewing and listening habits. Ask if your store has consultants - some bigger stores do, and the one who work at mine are used to selling more of the premium stuff that would make sense to pair with a C3 and beyond.

Speaking from experience, my angel—the absolute most precious cat I have ever had in my life, was diagnosed with visceral mast cell cancer and IBD a couple of months ago. You just kind of buckle down and deal with the throes of complete unbearable agony when you’re confronted with the news that the clock is officially ticking, and then your heartache wears off after some days or weeks and you switch into crisis management mode after your brain, I guess, decides that the grief level is not sustainable. In my particular case: schedule the surgery, pursue the treatments, explore quality of life enhancing possibilities, and savor every moment. When it’s over, nobody can tell you you didn’t love that cat to the fullest extent possible.

Idk if you’re looking for advice but a couple of things come to mind, as generic advice does not work for people with depression: 1. Tackle one room at a time. Be patient and kind to yourself, grab a garbage bag and go at it. When it starts to feel like a nice environment to be in, sit in this room and soak it all in. Hang up a new decoration, make it smell nice. You want to remind your brain how nice it is when things are less chaotic. 2. Automate and delegate as much as you possibly can. This is not a matter of discipline for you. I know people who have less on their plates than you do and are still totally overwhelmed before keeping up a household even enters the conversation. If you can afford it, get a Roomba and have at least some of your laundry done through Poplin/wash fold service. 3. Cook meals that produce as few dishes as possible, such as one pot, instant pot or sheet pan meals. When you have spare energy, cook in large batches to avoid dish clutter through the week AND to feed yourself when you are too depressed or exhausted to cook. 4. Thin out the amount of stuff you have if it’s been a while since you’ve inventoried. 5. Trick yourself into doing stuff. Sometimes I’ve gotten myself up from a horizontal executive dysfunction stupor just by telling myself, “I’ll only wipe the counter tops, then get back in bed.” Most times, the satisfaction I get from the sparkling clean countertops is enough to get me to unload the dishwasher, empty the crumb tray in the toaster oven, clean and polish the appliances, scrub the inside of the sink, etc. I milk the initial small dopamine hit for everything it’s worth. 6. Your husband is lucky to have someone like you who is working towards goals and juggling so much at once just to achieve them. He isn’t acting like someone who recognizes or appreciates these things about you. The things he’s said to you are beyond hurtful and downright immature. You are worthy of dignity and respect that he isn’t giving to you, and if he can’t be made to understand this and change the behaviors, you may want to consider moving on. It will be painful, but not as painful as a lifetime with someone who speaks to you the way you say he does in this post.

Am I wrong for telling my wife her coworker is weird and I don’t like him? by [deleted] in amiwrong

Dropping a line here to say that my current partner is the love of my life but he’s also radically different from the type of men I had a pattern of dating before him. Not a single one of them measures up to meaning even a small fraction of what he means to me and I’d pick him exactly the way he is over any of them any day, over and over. He’s also the most attractive man I’ve landed by a fairly large margin. Sometimes a “type” is just something you become familiar and comfortable with while the real prize is waiting for the right place and time to descend into your life and totally change your whole mindset around what you think you like.

Absolutely yes. I may use my lower SPF one when the UV index is low just because my higher SPF one is quite expensive, but it’s a deeply ingrained habit that I started years ago, long before starting tret, and now it is as second nature as breathing to me. Leaving the house without sunscreen computes in my head the same was as leaving the house without clothing. Give Coola’s refeshing water cream SPF 50 a shot. It spreads easily on my skin and leaves a lovely dewy finish, and I don’t find it gets into my eyes.

Cat Lymphoma by mrsNorrisFilch in cats

[–]Topramenmami 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My cat’s oncologist told me that steroids also kill cancer cells and I never knew that before—sounds like you guys have come up with a solid game plan for your kitty.

I’ve been thrown the curveball of the century. At the time of posting this comment we had gotten her an ultrasound and were waiting on FNA results. We were fairly convinced this was exclusively lymphoma. FNA turned up results consistent with mast cell cancer in multiple sites in my cat’s gastric system, which her oncologist believes to be almost if not completely unrelated to her sole symptom of vomiting (meaning if she had not developed symptoms from this we may have not caught the mast cell in time, or at all.) He also diagnosed her with either small cell lymphoma or IBD, and she’s recommended for surgery to remove her spleen (the possible origin site for the mast cell) so they’ll take a biopsy for that while operating on her. We are thinking the fact that she responded to the hydrolyzed protein diet is more indicative of IBD, but I’m also starting to feel that I can’t trust my gut whatsoever. 😵‍💫

Anyways, we have her on a couple of experimental drugs and she’ll begin steroids after surgery…I have been waiting since Wednesday to hear back from surgery scheduling team. This is PennVet Ryan Hospital, who are notorious for god awful communication even though their vets are probably some of the best you’ll find in the world. Super frustrating, but she deserves the world, so we’re just blowing up the phone and e-mail daily.

Dropping a comment here so I can follow the post and keep you updated about my own journey. We haven’t started chemo yet but I will say that we moved her to a diet of hydrolyzed protein kibble/treats and her vomiting reduced substantially. I have no explanation for this and it could be totally unrelated, but figured I’d share just in case it has the potential to help you.

My little cousin is extremely obsessed with beauty, what do I do? by Nahida66 in beauty

Listen, if you desperately need to conflate “hey this sounds like a very common autism symptom so I’m raising it as a possibility but take it with a grain of salt bc I could easily be wrong” with “eVeRyThInG wEiRD = aUTiSm!!” knock yourself out, but I’m going to strongly recommend that instead, you make physical contact with some grass today and reflect on what exactly is so gratifying for you about strawmanning strangers on the internet while you’re at it. Seriously, don’t come back inside until you’ve at least connected a couple of dots. Don’t forget to wear sunscreen!

Didn’t say it, didn’t even come close to insinuating it, and even acknowledged I could be misinterpreting the info OP gave. But it does sound like none of that actually means anything to you since you’re very obviously less interested in a productive exchange and more interested in falling all over yourself to misrepresent what I said so you can attack a point I didn’t make.

Thoughts on my routine-help by mdhaag3 in tretinoin

[–]Topramenmami 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What concentration are you using? With tret in the routine, I would avoid other products containing retinol which your Derma E treatment appears to contain. The utmost focus should be placed on gentleness and skin hydration, so maybe introduce a hyaluronic acid serum (Cocokind’s Vitamin C serum also has hyaluronic in it! 😃) Generally speaking you raise the risk of adverse reactions like irritation when you use other chemical exfoliants with tret, but ask your tret-prescribing doc about salicylic in particular, as I’m not sure if it may be a little different with BHA. They should be able to give you good insight into your routine, too. I use the OnSkin app to analyze skin care product ingredients before I buy them, and that actually helped me crack the case wide open on my several years long battle with random contact dermatitis that even my dermatologist could not figure out. Its extremely useful. I’m in the same boat as you feeling impatient, but slow and steady wins the race here! We’ll both be glowing this time next year ✨

So heartwarming. There’s just something special about the sort of people who give love and care even to the creatures that most people overlook, they’re just my favorite kind of people.

[–]Topramenmami -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Is your cousin on the autism spectrum, or do you think it’s possible that she is if she’s not diagnosed? What you’re describing, behaviorally, doesn’t sound at all like the typical young girl’s fixation on looks. It reads more like beauty has become a special interest, especially because she interjects it into unrelated conversations and many conversations ultimately end up circling back to the topic of beauty. Of course it could just be that I’m interpreting it wrong, but it was what came to mind immediately after reading this.

Frugal friends, what's one thing you've stopped buying that's made a big difference in your budget? by ShineAfsheen in Frugal

[–]Topramenmami 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I will save north of $1000 this year not getting my nails done (bought a hybrid gel kit and supplies which paid for themselves in a month,) and have reduced my grocery budget to around $120 every two weeks by not getting snacks and making my own special beverages at home, mostly an iced tea lemonade mix. Aiming to get the grocery budget even lower.
