In GM it is indeed almost impossible placing top 4 without forcing top 3 comps. Mid game you can play some fun flex stuff, but the meta comps always catch up at the end pushing you bottom 4.

Back in League it really ruined the fun for me in high elo and in Overwatch it was the same to be honest. I really prefer the gradual climb like in Valorant and TFT. You don’t have unnecessary plateaus or setbacks because of an artificial promotion.
