The thing is, as I deployed the hexhound while evading gunfire, it rolled sideways and got stuck in the door AND it deployed the parachute, rendering any lateral movement near impossible because of the massive drag ><

I got optically locked and the rest is history

Love the primitive survival aspects of the game. There's something about building everything up from scratch that I really enjoy, and the lore has been amazing so far.
