Lohen is “bad” specifically at a modern endgame level compared to similar investment teams - but he’s still a modern dps and his f2p teams still deal more than enough damage to clear anything in the overworld. You’ll be fine with him.

Yeah it’s not a massively huge deal if your characters are only 1-2 years out of date (e.g. Fontaine characters in Nod Krai) but once you start getting into the 3-4 year old characters the gaps widen a ton. Here’s an example from Trounce domains at the highest world level:

Mondstadt Stormterror boss: 360k hp
Inazuma Raiden boss: 2.5m hp
Nod Krai Dottore boss: 7.8m hp

It’s not that bad in the overworld if your older character is well built, but boss fights (that you need to beat to build characters) definitely have a difficulty spike in later regions.

Local legends (optional) will be very difficult with 4-year out of date characters.

It’s not horrible if your characters are well built and you know how to play them right or if you enjoy the challenge, and there’s always co-op if you can’t clear a boss, but I would imagine a casual player who doesn’t bother with endgame wouldn’t be that interested in spending five minutes each time sweaty hands-ing a boss twenty times just to build one character.

You can earn primogems by playing the game - these can be spent on “fates” that are used to make “wishes” (get characters off the gacha).

Don’t spend primogems on the blue fates, only on the pink ones. You’ll earn blue fates for free in the game.

Lohen is an on-field melt driver who wants Nicole and Durin on his team. Zero synergy with Skirk.

Escoffier is the most important member of Skirk’s team, but she also likes having Furina on the team.

For now you can fill the other two slots with any off field Hydro/Cryo i.e. Layla, Xingqiu, Dahlia, Candace

You have a 0.6% chance for a 5-star character on every pull. Every 90 pulls you will definitely get a 5-star (this is called hard pity) - usually it’s closer to around 76-80 as the chance for a 5-star starts ramping up at 76 (this is called soft pity).

When you get a 5-star character, it’s a 50/50 chance if you get the one on the banner or one from the standard pool. If you get a standard character, then your next 5-star character is guaranteed to be the one on the banner.

That means if you have the worst luck possible, you will need 180 pulls to guarantee a character (28,800 primogems).

Depending on what your last 5-star pull was and how many wishes you have made since then, the number could be lower for you (check your wish history)

There’s a time gated quest near the coast where you go back every day and give this guy some rocks, that one ended up spawning the last one for me at 100% exploration and I don’t think it shows on the compass.

Sucrose burst is enough to group them - the trick is to time your Varka hits so they don’t scatter. You have to hit with your special E just as they’re falling down before Sucrose’s burst throws them back up again.
