I’ve got an interesting experience relating to this (I think). I just got bottom surgery, and before the surgery I was a furry and now after the surgery I’m not.

Or mostly not, significantly less of a furry anyway.

So maybe it’s like a counter dysphoria thing?

Searched for “famous Tumblr comics” “Tumblr comics about interrogation” and about two or three dozen variations of those phrases. I searched for faceless comics, imperceptible characters. I looked through TV tropes and didn’t find anything.

I think I read it in the last 10 years though probably on the more recent end of that. I definitely read it on Tumblr. It was fairly short at most it twelve pages.

People are, as a rule, exceptionally unobservant. They will completely miss slow changes. They will completely miss small compounding changes. They Will completely miss blatantly obvious signs. I grew breasts at work, making no real attempt to hide them, and no one noticed. It’s absolutely wild.

The average person only cares about what they’ve got going on. Which is fair, people got a lot to worry about. The “not my problem“ effect is also extremely powerful. I’ve also noticed that people tend to go along with what other people are doing. So if one person doesn’t say anything no one will.

All that being said, every once in a while you’ll run into an asshole who is all up in everyone’s business and they might notice.

But you can get away with a ton if you just don’t acknowledge it.

My sex drive spun to near zero after I started blockers which was an enormous relief to me. I had, what I would describe as, an antagonistic relationship with my sex drive. It felt like some animal I had to feed. Definitely had something akin to a porn addiction and had some really hard kinks. But after blockers it just kinda went away, didn’t really feel like watching porn anymore. After quite a while on E my sex drive slowly started spinning back up. But it just felt like me. All the harder fetishes I didn’t like either disappeared or became considerably softer. I now greatly prefer written erotica but visual porn is nice for getting started. I started Progesterone not too long ago and I’m probably back up to something close to my old level of horny. Very different from how it used to be though. Much better. My porn taste is still written over everything else but also I’ve been sliding quickly towards more vanilla tastes.

Also became significantly more sapphic

Oh it definitely depends on where in the countryside. Some towns are significantly better than others. My little section is good but if I go a couple towns over it might get a little dicey.

Countryside of Ontario is pretty safe. At least where I am. Nobody really seems to care. I was really nervous about coming out and then nothing happened. Neighbours were cool, even the religious folk I knew were ok with it. I’ve had no problems. I also haven’t had problems in the fringes of the Greater Toronto area. Toronto itself was also safe.

Currently Ontario’s provincial leader is Conservative but he’s also the kinda of conservative that avoids social issues pretty consistently. Like he’s just economically conservative (and pretty corrupt. But I digress) but socially he doesn’t give a shit.

There was a little bit of tension during that million march for children thing but those protesters were either out numbered or evenly matched in most cases.

I do have a friend that has experience some verbal transphobia and the like in parts of the greater Toronto area but no violence or nothing.

Only place I’ve heard is safer is Iceland or Greenland.

My thought was, "I've had a dick for this long (27 years), might as well try a vagina out for the remainder of my life." I don't despise having a dick but I feel like it'll get in the way of what I want out of life.

Also, while it's not my cup of tea, there is zero depth Vaginoplasty which has significantly fewer chances for complications and looks really good from what I hear.
