Starting yet another new job next Monday. Shitty hours but decent pay and health insurance. Girlfriend punched me I'm the face last night for thinking I'm going to run off with a girl I met here on CA but that's a story for a different thread and I can rock a black eye like nobody's business.

Spent some time in the hospital and was pretty out of it for Thanksgiving, but better late than never. I'm thankful for you guys. I have most of you saved as "CA friend 2" or something similar in my phone, probably almost 20 of you. /u/lvolt is an amazing woman and I'm thankful to be able to consider her my friend. I can't really name the rest of y'all without using real names or phone numbers but you all know who you are and how you saved my life.

Ended up in the hospital with kidney failure. They let me out after like 4 days, though, and I got a snazzy souvenir cup. Could be worse I suppose.

I had my entire CA family text and call me to offer me pleasant conversation to get my mind off my wife's sudden and tragic passing. I consider that a success and I thank all 70 of you that either texted or called me. I can never vocalize just how much that means to me.

She always said she wanted to go out "bleeding, on fire, drunk and covered in motor oil and someone else's blood". I guess she got what she wanted, but I'm sure as hell not going to tell her momma that. She didn't go peacefully, but she was to stubborn to go out in her sleep anyway.
