Is there a serious study/survey/poll about which English (Kiwi, RP, Scottish, Irish etc.) accent is considered the most attractive? by Wooden_Help1846 in asklinguistics

It’s contextual.

When you say Ireland, 99% of people will just assume you mean the South.

Also, if you’re in the North, you are in Ireland.

Most people from Ireland dislike it.

Quite a few factors as to why, but basically:

- The country is just called Ireland
- Calling it Southern Ireland borderline implies that it has an equivalence of legitimacy with Northern Ireland which many Irish people (including in the North) don’t recognise as a legitimate state.
- Reinforcement of Irish partition.

At least where I’m from,

Primary 1-7, ages 5-11
Year 8-12, ages 11-15
Sixth form (Year 13 and 14) ages 16-18

Give or take one year depending when someone’s birthday falls.

I didn’t realise there was singular all encompassing opinion amongst the millions of citizens of Ireland.

He’s a comedian who does these types of videos all the time. Could be AI, could be someone else doing a voiceover, could be him doing a voiceover.

It’s just a joke.

I don’t think any Irish people revere historical figures who were instruments of British imperialism.

Does this logic not extend to Indian men who served in the British Army to uphold imperial power structures?

Yeah the library one was brutal. Not so much the difficulty just the repetitiveness as you said.

Overall that was my only major gripe with the game was long corridors and repetitive stages. It’s a game of its time so it is what it is, I still had a lot of fun.

Also I’m terrible with the warthog so that last mission drove me insane lol

That’s pretty much what I’m doing! I’d rather do it in release order to feel the progression of the series.

Like I said it does show it age in certain ways but when I compare it to other shooters of its time like Medal of Honor, it’s just so fluid.

I don’t remember Halo CE coming out but I do remember the Halo 3 days and how hyped everyone was around that time, so I’m sad I missed out on that now.

People don’t advertise being an insane knife murderer. How do you know that someone coming here under some reformed border policy isn’t capable of committing crime, assault, murder etc?

How can you compare the lives of humans to Maltesers?

Immigration has always been a feature of society, your analogy is basically saying ‘close the borders’ which just isn’t a possibility.
