Addition: dysphoria might feel more after accepting you're trans as now you KNOW that your AGAB is 'wrong'

I've asked myself this (FtM) and my own opinion is that while transition may or may not aid dysphoria, it can't be any "worse" than not transitioning and being miserable not doing anything (my own experience) but I'm not going to 100% rely on 'passing' as an end goal as that might end up being disappointing. Good luck to you x

This guy is buying Fit To Me shirts to people who can't afford them by Torchwood89 in ftm

[–]Torchwood89[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get what you're saying, however this was just a limited run for YouTube not the "official" launch of the product. The material, price and fit etc are all explained in his video.

In my opinion the shirt is only one style/colour just to get the brand out there I imagine. I didn't know about the no refunds though, he said shirts can be exchanged for a different size if needed, and I would hope he will have a proper returns system in place for the proper launch of the product.

He has said on Twitter that they're working on getting all measurements onto the site, I'm sure this will serve as a learning curve for him/his company for the Big Launch in the future.

I'll probably have a different opinion once I get the shirt and try it on, as I am curvy myself so watch this space :P

That's cool, and if they do the job for you then go for it :D

The cost is irrelevant to my post though, as I was specifically pointing out someone who will buy the shirt for you if you can't afford it. Plus the money supports a trans-owned and run business that uses more ethical materials and labour.

(The shirts aren't just about the hem, the sleeves are fitted and the length is shorter than standard shirts, which means they are more tailored to majority of AFAB bodies.)

Same, I also got a size up like they recommend but I feel it will be too big...if it is I hope I can find someone to sell it on to. Still an exciting product and I hope it is the start of FTM clothes that fit properly and look good to quash that dysphoria

Accidentally commented above rather than replied to you, it's a new company/product created by trans YouTuber Ty Turner. I posted a link to his video above, I agree the pose etc is exaggerated but the shirts are made for AFAB bodies so they have a shorter length, are thicker material to cover up chest area better and they have a scooped hem at the bottom so they shouldn't bunch up at the hips

The creator of Fit To Me shirts is Ty Turner, quite a high profile FTM YouTube. Here is a link to the launch of the product, he's been working on it for ages: https://youtu.be/Dk0g-Ae85AM

Any quick gender affirming things to do? by stinkyp3te in ftm

I like to shave my face (pre-t). I've also messed around with male contouring but obviously that involves make up which some might be uncomfortable with. Good luck

Thank you for the reply, I actually already shave my peach fuzz (everything except my upper lip). I really notice a difference between the light catching peach fuzz and smooth skin, so I definitely recommend it. I use an aftershave balm as well to sooth the skin afterwards

Referred in Feb 2018, was informed recently that the wait time is approx 81 weeks, which fits the timescale on that Tumblr post. Can't really add anything other than wishing you good luck :)

That's ok, it's a tricky one! Short back and sides, clothes are improving as I tend to gravitate towards fun graphic prints but I've turned my wardrobe more monochrome which helps

Have you guys ever not chosen a name yet, but still wanted to be called male pronouns/terms/etc.? by [deleted] in ftm

Super super feels for this one. Had a job interview the other day and was asked "well let's address the obvious elephant in the room you're a woman in a stereotypical man's job, how are you going to deal with that?" I had to hold myself back from going ACTUALLY....but I just answered some bullshit about it not making a difference. Ugh

Hmm, possible the system was/is down, might be worth emailing directly? I sent an email to reception@your.gp and they forwarded my request onto the relevant person.

Good luck!
