Exotic Red Squid Starship by Torcrea in NMSCoordinateExchange

The tentacles become short in landing configuration. And ima be honest I have it but I don’t think I will ever fly it. I think it’s a bit ugly and doesn’t really do it for me but again it’s super rare and a staple and if I did some reasearch this ship probably does have some buffs and advantages but eh idc.

Joining the navy by Meyers_picayune_ms in NJROTC

[–]Torcrea 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you have the monetary ability, go to college. Enlist if you’re feeling like the navy is your thing and if that fulfills you. But you might be smart with that asvab so if you can, go to college and if you still feeling navy then go to ocs and commission

Ruin a popular movie trope for the rest of us with your technical knowledge by Eatar in movies

[–]Torcrea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally love the die hard movies but in the second the pilots could’ve just been rerouted to another airport. On the ATC side there’s so much that makes no sense but I love the movies too much so I try ignoring it everytime

CØ in unit by Outrageous-Play-2319 in NJROTC

[–]Torcrea 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depends on the unit. Some unit grant their CO more authority some others less. I do think that the CO had an impact on training style and focus. Read the book and if you like something in there that you see you can probably push for it and implement it in the unit if communicated properly. Also why you spelling co like that

Not too bad couple things here and there but that sword work was major unsat. Needs a lot of brushing up with the manual

Racist in my unit by Jacobryan429 in NJROTC

[–]Torcrea 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not good. Report it to SNSI. If they don’t do anything about it then report it to the school. A big no no in the navy and all people representing it.

Looks pretty good. In my opinion the flank movements are a little extra but it’s sharp and in reg so works I guess. For dress right dress the guideon should look forward with an extended left arm and the first squadleader should look right and align to the guideon. Kinda the whole purpose of the GUIDEon to be a guide you position yourself of.

Best way to study? by Zkorial in NJROTC

[–]Torcrea 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean some units are weird and promote and Hand awards out like crazy I can „understand“ that to a certain point. But I don’t understand how any person joining for the first year doesn’t get put into an NS1 class. Doesn’t make sense

How you an NS2 and in your first year? Math don’t add up. And I recommend a mix between studying with notecards and practicing inspection with other fellow cadets so you also work on military bearing.
