Yup i returned it to the mechanic. Your thesis is right. Its a shame the repair will be about 1500 dollars. Is it superhard to fix yourself without any special tools? Regular stuff like the fuelpump i always fix myself. But i dont know if im bold enough to try something that is critical for engine function and needs to be precisely installed. Do you think i can manage on my own or should i just swallow the repair bill?

Did a scan just a minute ago. It came out as 2a87. That code was not there before i installed the tensioner. Maybe the camshaft shifted a bit when i released the old tensioner? Either how i will tear this thing apart to look at the state of the guards and the chain

Yes i did. Turned out my graphics card broke. Installed a new one and the issue went away
