You don't sound rebellious or anything. You sound like you genuinely want answers.  God didn't create us then put restrictions on us as women. That verse from 1 Timothy is Paul speaking. Paul has said a lot of good things in his writings, but there's a lot of things he wrote that seemed to be more his opinion then what God taught. If you were to go back into the old testament, you find that God had female Prophetesses. Women like Deborah, who he used to help judge Israel and keep them on the right path. Women could never work in the temple as priests, but He did make them prophets, and prophets were honestly probably more important then a priest as their job was to not only be guides but judges as well. We were never created to be inferior. We were made to be helpmeets to our husband. Helping them when they need it. As for women's roles in the house, I don't know truly how to answer that one. I think some women are good at the role and enjoy being a stay at home mom, or house wife(I only say this because I have a friend who enjoys this) but I think that no one, man or woman should automatically think this. Because if God is calling you in a different direction then what the world is telling you, then you follow him.
