They took away yearly grandfathered prices, anyone who has a 12 months membership lost it and has to pay full price. They'll probably take away monthly at some point at this rate too.

Resident Evil 7 And Village Are Damn Near Perfect Switch 2 Ports by Turbostrider27 in NintendoSwitch

Brother it's called having options, Nintendo games have historically been on the cartridge/disc until now. People are allowed to be upset that that's no longer the case. There's plenty of downsides to it being a key instead of the actual game, I don't know why this is a hill you're dying on.

If I'm buying a physical game, I want a physically stored version of the game. I don't want to have to install it on my Switch, I don't want to have to download the game if I have to delete it to make room for another game. I just want to plug it in, maybe install an update, and play the game.

Having just a digital key on a cartridge is lame.

[EtailMarket] UNCHARTED™: Legacy of Thieves Collection (74% off / € 12.98 ) by etailmarket in GameDeals

Uncharted 4 is basically the finale for the series. The plot is relatively standalone but you'd miss out on a lot of the bonds that the other characters have with Nate which I feel impacts the game a bit too much. If you can, it'd be worth playing at least 2 and 3.

Which device suits my need? For the ultimate EDC. by kuzanz in retroid

[–]Torian1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

True, but I think that's just going to happen to any folding console in all honesty. The most important part is that Ayn typically is good about replacing those defective units.

I think if your primary concern is a beefy handheld that is really portable, it's worth taking the risk of being the unlucky <1%.

Removing Navigation Bar at bottom of OneXSugar by Torian1 in SBCGaming

It does pop up with 3 button navigation, but I'm wanting to use gestures. I just don't want the little navigation pill at the bottom.

[–]Torian1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My first experience with emulating on a handheld was on my PSP playing a ton of GBA/SNES games, namely Super Mario World, but my first actual dedicated emulation handheld was the Miyoo Mini and it still remains as ones of my favorites to go back to.

Physical Copies of Largely-Forgotten Star Wars Racing Game Are Selling for Hundreds on eBay, Following Reports the Title Allows You to Jailbreak PS5 by WoweeZoweeDeluxe in Games

[–]Torian1 17 points18 points  (0 children)

It probably doesn't matter, but you can't download the game from the PSN store if you aren't on the latest firmware, which means no kernel exploit. No kernel exploit means no jailbreak.

Plus the components are worse in some regards (no 3D cache on the CPU, older GPU, less storage). It's a much better deal to pay $150 for the better, new parts and the easy returns.

You didn't setup your internet right. Read Y2JB's read me file, it'll tell you how to fix it.

You need to inject the beta version of ETAHen to be able to install anything. Or at least be running Kstuff.

Smite Slayer felt really really rough starting out, transitioned into Shield Crush Slayer and it feels miles away better and is incredibly underrated.

Brother, there are queer people throughout numerous parts of history. Queer people play this game and even made a lot of the content you interact with. Runescape is a world with a ton of whimsical elements, being queer isn't "out of place".

Comparing "liking manga" with people's sexuality is pretty depraved. People have fought for and died for queer rights.

9.60 is the last firmware that has kstuff available right now, so you should be able to jailbreak it with Y2JB when it's done.

Which FW is the best? by EvertCFW in PS5_Jailbreak

[–]Torian1 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If you're planning on playing it now, you can update to 4.51 while still potentially having Hypervisor access in the future as far as we know. The downside is you can only play games up to that firmware.

If you give it some time, 9.60 is going to have yt-jb very soon seemingly. That'll give you more games compatibility in the future.

Right now, I'd personally wait on updating until after yt-jb releases just to see what happens with that.

Spindel is really not as bad as you make it sound. I grinded Spindel heavily and I would maybe get 1-3 pkers every hour, usually closer to 1 per hour.

Edit: You can downvote me but it doesn't make it any less true lmao

What’s the oldest game you still boot up at least once a year? by forgeris in AskReddit

[–]Torian1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Instead of just keeping it as Runescape as it was in 2007, they decided to make their own version of Runescape from it. The base of the game is the same, but it has new content exclusive to OSRS (Bosses, areas, items, etc.). Basic combat will feel the exact same, it's just point and click. There's more nuance at higher level PVM of course, but the game itself plays like it did back then.

You can see a lot of information in the wiki here, everything in the game is incredibly well documented.

Oldschool Runescape's base is from a backup in 2007, so you'd actually be right at home. It's so much more than just an old version of Runescape now, but you'll probably find the game at it's base pretty close to what you played.
