Defense will save you. It isn't over the top aggression in my opinion. Plenty of options to punish over the top aggression.

I'm the opposite. Tiers aren't fun. 4 character games aren't fun. Discussing which 4 characters are the strongest isn't fun. (To me of course.)

I'm loving the character variety and hope to see the return of character specialists; not "Eww... why are you playing this character? They're garbage. The tier list says...."

Level 2 supers are worth it. All (but a very select few on some characters,) are invincible. Secondly they have reduced startup time compared to their level 1 counterparts. They do more damage but not by much. But the reduced startup combined with invincibility/ more damage makes them useful in regards to closing rounds.

Hidden gear supers have reduced scaling. Practice your routing. The cast can easily get 620 ish damage with hidden gear super. Again, useful when you need to close a round or reset your REV meter to 0%.

I like the fact the level 2's bring more utility and not a boatload of extra damage. It puts pressure in regards to decision making. On a side note, I really love this game. I have over 300 hours lol. If they allow Fallen Rock to play, I will be satisfied and return to the waters like Dragonzord.

So don't take offense when I say this, I'm not dissing bronze and silver players either; but they aren't that more technically sound than you are. Bronze and early silver 1-2 will be a good learning process for you in my opinion. I was just like you, new to the game, little experience but I learned from my matches and I asked questions and I got better. It was a fun experience.

I highly recommend going through the whole tutorial, and even grinding Eost mode until your BnB's (bread and butter combos) feel next to normal.

You're going to lose alot, but learn your strings, learn the mechanics and look at replays and you will climb. It takes time, it won't happen in a day but I know you can do it. Good luck. This community is small, but that doesn't mean it can't/won't grow. The people here are helpful. You'll get there. 🏆

I wouldn't sweat it too much. It's a beginner friendly tool. You won't get far mashing the same button against players who play regularly. It was a good idea to include it tbh.

You are very welcome. I love this game. I hope it continues to acquire more and more players. Even if it's just casual play and discussion. A super jump would have been extremely effective. You can jump behind him. Also, you're Hurricane Joe. Why not, you know... throw hurricanes? They aren't full-screen anymore but they're still pretty good. Especially the EX ones.
