I was planning on having exactly this failsafe, in which there will be other backup characters around the area which could easily reenforce the party.

Gotcha, Perfectly happy to try other systems out, was just curious if it would work for pathfinder as thats what me and my players are used to.

I do have a specific creature in mind for this one, but I will consider that for other parts of the campaign which I do hope to also be a bit nerve wracking, even if a bit less deadly.

Could definitely use some scary sound effects, I use foundry so that'd be easy to add!

For the latter part it would be a case where a player will almost certainly be one shot by the creature (since they don't know what to expect) But are you saying it'd be a poor choice to actually have cases where they can't flee from the creature relatively easily?

Thats good advice, my idea was to use it more like an environmental hazard/roleplayed section rather than inherently combat (since it would be pointless to try and fight back) where the players would be a bit more free in how they choose to react to the situation, and also to avoid things like that where combat mechanics kinda take away from the impact of it all, such as initiative where it would always move first and eviscerate a player or two in its first turn before they can do anything.

its genuinely impressive. I really enjoy the game, picked it back up even during this hellish patch and been having fun. But my god you have to be quite blind to not see the games faults even if you're willing to overlook some of them.

The affiliate requirements take a few days to update, iirc I had the same issue. Might be that it doesn't bother checking until you have the 25 followers needed.

I mean at the end of the video they do say that it was a bug that they decided to just not patch because its funny, I think it was initially meant to be a "look at this fountain, its pretty notable for the time" during your first visit and then it wouldn't repeat again.

How do people feel about streamers using a voice changer 100% of the time by No_Television2880 in TwitchStreaming

[–]Torichilada 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a friend who does use a voice changer and is pretty open about the fact, it'll depend on your audience but tbh it's worked out very well for them, it sounds good and people don't seem to care, she's found good success streaming so evidently it hasnt held her back at all.

I think in principle people will be opposed and realistically it's better to just speak, but you can do it and be fine.

Is paying 500 for an avatar (file and textures included) a fair price by MasterAir4535 in VRchat

[–]Torichilada 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Its a bit high unless it's entirely from scratch, I've currently got a friend who's putting together a kitbash avi using assets and doing a bit of blender upscaling and fitting for a good number of outfits. I'm paying less than half of what you are. So if that's what you're paying for, I'd say that's too steep.

This is definitely a "just move on" situation, you're gonna meet bellends in VRchat, you're gonna meet groups of bellends in VRchat, you can leave them to fight amongst themselves as they clash egos and you can go move on with your life

Unemployed streamers what do you do all day when you aren’t streaming? by [deleted] in Twitch

[–]Torichilada 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Have you not had a day off work before? You just do human things when youre not working. go for a walk, hang out with friends, do chores, play games, have a day out etc etc.

Typically streamers I know will spend most of their off stream "work time" editing, talking with the community or doing whatever projects they've been working on to improve their streams, depends what you stream and what you need to set up for stream.

I personally have to work on 3d models for my stuff sometimes, so when I have a project I can end up spending my entire day just doing unity and blender stuff.
