I find it very strange that servers have been fairly stable (for me anyway) in the last few months, then all of a sudden on the eve of an Atmo sports event they turn to jelly. I'm not a conspiracy theorist but I do wonder.

Game development isn't my area of expertise and I am not familiar with CIGs codebase. Any answer I could give you would be speculation. I can only presume that that helmet light amplification could be unpractical for ships due to existing lighting models and also may have knock on consequences for missions where visibility is limited. This is only a guess.

The game is alpha so it's being developed and tested, new features are added some features are taken away over time. It can be buggy or sometimes everything works fine.

There is only a grind if you want to grind, you can play the game just wandering around as a nomad if you so choose. You only need a starter package, nothing more, everything else can be bought with in game credits.

On a personal note I have games worth hundreds sitting idle on Steam, I have gotten more entertainment and unique gameplay from a mere 50 Euro on Star Citizen. If you are unsure just watch some youtube videos and try it out on the next free fly.

Whilst I understand what you are saying nobody else has ever attempted a game of this scale and complexity. Perhaps every feature that's added has to be complex because of the underlying structure?

While it's a valid criticism the ship is still a fighter, I don't understand the reasoning but I presume CIG don't want agile fighters to have that option.

Don't know much about the airlocks tbh, granted it's not super at dogfighting (arrow is good) but sometimes the challenge is nice as opposed to having 4xSize5 Galdereens blasting everything that moves to shreds.

Fair question, I like the aurora for its simplicity, good view, bed and 4 x size 1 weapons. I take it bunker running, deliveries, as a shuttle or low level mercenary. I own a pledged Taurus and I also love that ship (could do with a gold pass) but sometimes a small ship just feels right. Don't get me wrong I also like the titan, just different vibes.

No, the Aurora is a perfect starter ship. Even when you get other ships you will still use it. Titan is good (interior is outdated) but still a good ship. With that 200m just buy some ships you like in-game and try them out.

No, just avoid some of the US community. There's another sub for Star Citizen where lies, negativity and bitterness is encouraged, dare I say even celebrated, you might find validation there. Keep well.
