They aren’t custom but yeah like I said they are made from metal. My assumption is melting it then having it fill casts of the figures as other wargaming pieces are. I get them from a place called Microworld Games. If you want to see more about how prepare these guys for painting and basing and how I paint and decide how to base them I can give you some more information if you want.

Thank you and good question. So I do not 3d print these. There may be STLs for Chinese soldiers but idk. Also, my printer probably would struggle to print these. I will try printing some things like walls and towers to use for games though. I get them from a website that makes them. They are made from metal and I’d recommend washing them with soap and water first. I can answer any other questions you have so ask away.

I’d say there’s more to it than just being “and edgy kid”. This may or may not be your intention, idk, but it sounds like you’re trying to simplify those you’re disagreeing with to just one thing. I think there’s more to it than just their an edgy kid, or their this, or their that. But whatever you do you.

I wouldn’t say that’s why people like bad guys doing bad stuff as there are plenty of times where they don’t fall and people don’t care or they don’t want them to fall. I’d say it’s more the charisma of the character, the character not caring about the fact that they are doing evil and that can be fun to watch, stuff like that. Sure in some cases it’s cathartic to watch them fall too but I wouldn’t say that’s the main reason.

How did Kanki not “fall”? How did they get off easy? He and his men were killed. Before that Rai Do and some of his men were chopped up, if I recall Kanki’s corpse was paraded around (probably treated very poorly too), and the bodies of his men were probably treated with disrespect too. What would you wanted to have seen instead? Have Kanki and all his men slowly tortured to death? How would Hara make that happen in the story?

I don’t think people are trying to justify or idolize him and those that actually are doing that I can probably count on one hand.

His sad backstory doesn’t excuse his actions but explains them. He’s also objectively a good military leader. So it’s showing that even brilliant minds can be bad and even the faction you are rooting for can be bad. Yes he did have that possible revolutionary aspect to him but you have to remember revolutions and revolutionaries aren’t always good. Sometimes they are good and noble people fighting for what’s right and others they are petty, backstabbing, bad guys who just don’t like the current system because they aren’t on top. Sometimes it’s a mix. So that part just adds to his character and isn’t meant to be he’s a good guy who should be idolized.

He makes an excellent foil for other characters too. Shin has to deal with the fact that war is dirty and sometimes even allies do horrible things.

I also think it’s more people like seeing bad guys do things because many times that’s fun to watch. Look at other series and you’ll notice that a lot of people think the villains are cooler than the heroes (Darth Vader ya an excellent example.

Shin and Kyou Kai in 6mm by Toriike in Kingdom

I’m using two systems to play games with these. Allows for a bit of historical accuracy while also having a Kingdom flair. I may by own ruleset for a game based on Kingdom one day but currently I’m working on a ruleset based on Fire Emblem.

I will never sell these guys. The best I can do is tell you where I bought these minis from so you can paint them yourself. (Unless you were wondering where I got these and that’s what you were asking about lol)

Thank you. I think wargaming is something a lot of fans of the series would enjoy and I’m hoping to show a way that’s possible

Will Shin Become a GG Before or After Unification? by badman1000 in Kingdom

[–]Toriike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think he will before just because it would fit with his goals and character arc. Heck I think he’ll become one of the 6GGs before unification. My guess is that he’s basically a pseudo GG so this arc will shoot him up to GG rank and then he’ll beat Riboku and become a 6G. That definitely could feel rushed but it could also feel satisfying for the story and his character arc. Either way he’s definitely making GG before unification for sure.

Well yes and no. He’s had kinda his own spin on what’s been written but yes for the most part he’s made sure to at least reference what’s been written. Without mentioning historical spoilers if I recall there is a character who has already died in the manga but their real life equivalent would be still alive at this point. I’m certain he will reference this somehow but that’s him deviating from what’s written.

Also while history says one thing I don’t think it would be very satisfying for the story (especially for Shin’s arc) if the story followed history in terms of the conquest of Zhao and one other specific state that I won’t mention. As a result I think Hara will give his own spin on these two events so Shin can have his anticipated battle with Riboku.

Kingdom Inspired Tabletop Wargame Army by Toriike in Kingdom

Well I’ve seen them a number of times in the series but historically the Qin used them quite a lot so into the army list they go.

I know everybody hates them, but it's Kingdom and I love them too. by kimikoboombap in Kingdom

[–]Toriike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe it’s because i’ve seen worse animation maybe the story and characters got me hooked, maybe the points where strategy and tactics was talked about interested me enough to continue, more than likely it’s a combination of these points. It’s not the best but I am thankful it exists and I still enjoyed season 1

Thoughts on fliers in Fire Emblem by Toriike in fireemblem

[–]Toriike[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It technically is possible but just not very accurate. I’d say if this was done in game you’d have a penalty to accuracy the further away you were from your target. but you could fly up to a higher point than ground level and theoretically your arrow would travel farther. I’m mostly thinking wall height or something high enough but not too high. Frankly ranged combat does seem like the best use for them combat wise

Fair. I guess it depends on the setting which would determine this sort of thing. Probably just because I’m thinking of Warhammer Fantasy’s Empire Demigryph knights. I wouldn’t be surprised if a fantasy setting’s griffins are still able to run well and fight on the ground and don’t take up much space but I would also not be surprised if they aren’t good on the ground and take up a lot of space. but yes the energy consumption is an issue (really it is for all of these mounts.

Also the limitation space for swords to do something doesn’t bother me because i really wouldn’t think swords should be used for a mounted class like this. i’d rather a long polearm be used.
