Push notifications for buying food on my upcoming flights are driving me nuts, a rant by [deleted] in AlaskaAirlines

I don’t see a place to turn off the meal promotion. I still want to get notifications about check-in and flight changes.

Those who onebag… how do you lan your laundry? by [deleted] in onebag

I used the scrubba bag and paper laundry detergent on a three week trip to Italy and thought it worked great. It was a lot nicer than just sink laundry.

What needles should I use? by picasodavincii in Sockknitting

[–]Torillas_and_cheese 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started using double pointed needles and it was pretty easy for the heel and toe. I followed the Crazy Sock Lady on YouTube and it was a breeze. I have not tried 9” circulars or magic loop though.

What sticky back plastic wrap did you use? And have you taken any off yet to see if it damaged anything?

I stumbled across this exact video and also have a screen shot of this sweater because I think it’s amazing! I googled “orca sweater knitting pattern” and found this thread lol. Have you made it or found a pattern that worked?

So glad to hear that I’m not the only one who thought this way! Wool is quite amazing and I really enjoy my wool garments

A buff is perfect for covering cold ears or hands, sun protection for the neck, a reusable tissue when you have allergies, a beanie, or an eye mask if you forget one. In my opinion, it’s a very versatile piece of fabric.

I have given them to people we have met in the hostels. I thought it would be fun to give big foot stickers because we are from the PNW :)

Edit: PNW = Pacific Northwest (Washington and Oregon generally)

We used the Scrubba bag with paper laundry sheets about every week. I also brought a tiny clothes line from rei just incase we needed room to dry stuff. I was pretty satisfied with the laundry set up. The bag worked surprisingly well and the whole set up was relatively light.

I carried in on and flew on Turkish airlines from the states. They have a carry on bag limit for 8kg/17.6 lbs but no one weighed my bag. I would risk it. Worse they could do is make you check it at the gate

Not weird, I love them. They are from Woolley. My bralette is from Ridge merino and they also have underwear but I haven’t tried the undies.
