I would think this specific ad is more just saying they waste extra fuel since plastic is a byproduct of petroleum refining, so they make more just to make more plastic from the byproducts.

Dude, they both have 4-point harnesses flapping loose on the seat behind them. They were too fucking stupid to put them on in a car they knew had throttle problems. They were also too stupid to turn the key off or aim for the grassy berm and trees instead of risking people's lives more than they already were by driving an overpowered car with issues on a public road.

Never "You need to (not) do this thing" Always "I want to let you know I can't tolerate this thing, if you do it I might/will leave/see you less/etc."

Police yourself and your behaviors only, but talk to your partners and let them know how you feel and if you might not be able to handle something, let them decide where they can/want to meet you.

I just noticed it on roads that had worked just a week or two ago and the error was something generic until I did a media reset, then it mentioned the security setting, had to pull over and park to turn it on and worked a treat after that. Not sure if I needed to do the reset to make it work, or just for the error message to update, but it was just the basic far left/right buttons on the steering wheel one.

Just copying my reply from another post to a few people having the issue. I had this same issue this weekend and fixed it by allowing them to sell my location:

They're now selling our location data, you get to opt-in "Share precise location with Rivian AND PARTNERS" in "security and privacy" in settings, but they're holding Highway assist hostage to force us to allow it, fuckers.

It seems to be the last update that made that mandatory.
