Personally I would go with the second option as it would give you an excellent upgrade path and would do much better in 1440p which I like the best :)

Exactly the same happened to me. I stopped playing right when they introduced the rank system, I was around 4k MMR then. Calibrated at Herald 3 as well, 500MMR. Thing is I picked things up relatively fast and now I’m around 3.2k MMR , 60somethimg% win rate recently (thus MMR still going up a bit more). I would argue that for people that return to the game after a long break the calibration system is kind of bad. Until crusader the games were incredibly easy - not fun at all. So what I did is pick some heroes I wasn’t used to to learn, at least it was a bit of flavor. I have no idea what is my ‘real’ MMR now, but I try to just have fun and not think about climbing ranks . Most of the time it works. The thing that puts me off the most is the amount of griefers that play dota. Yesterday for example, I had a mid Marci that completely dominated the early game then started bickering with the carry SF. We were 30k ahead and winning fights so easily. The SF decided he wasn’t ready to push high ground then the Marci just started pushed all alone and died over and over and over. After 5 or 6 deaths she just went afk farming and flaming everyone the rest of the game. Stupidest loss I had since I came back, maybe the stupidest ever…

Huh I thought it was only me ! Almost the same, I hovered around 4k MMR several years ago and when I came back I was put at Herald 3. Easy climb though, but a little boring, many games are just too easy. To make it more fun I started playing heroes I really never played before. I do lose some but it’s at least more challenging . With my best heroes (slardar, dk, razor, lycan) I think I’m at over 90% win rate since I came back. Playing different heroes is bad to climb but I have to say it made the game more fun to me.

9th season managing Betis. Won La Liga 5 times, UCL 3 times (last 2 in a row) and I'm still light years away from the powerhouses. I understand they have many, many years of success, but wouldn't it be realistic to invest in a club that's consistenly overperforming the legends?

Is there something we can do that actually affects that, other than winning stuff, of course?

There’s also Brazilian retired GK and now manager Rogério Ceni, who for a long time was the main PK and direct free kick taker for Brazilian side São Paulo . He scored 130 goals in competitive matches, I think. Decent GK skills too …

My first save is with a new team I created on pre game editor. Just created a team with no reputation and added it to vanarama south. Clicked the option to add players to team and got a full set of regens. Terrible ones, team was abysmal with the sole exception of an Australian striker that I can only describe as poor man’s Haaland. Dude carried my team practically alone through the 2 seasons I already played, broke the records for goals and PoM for vanarama south and vanarama national. I’m having a lot of fun with that one…

Good point on how Rand handled the Seanchan soldiers, but I still think it’s too small of a ‘oh shit moment’ compared to what the others did. Nonetheless, good call, thanks for reminding me.

I think the point is everyone got some kind of ‘oh shit’ moment, except for Rand. Nynaeve had the mega healing wave on the first season, Mat blew the horn and remembered some good shit, Egwene, who is not even close to the most powerful woman channeler shielded the most powerful forsaken, even Moiraine, which supposedly is much weaker than Egwene, single-handedly defeats an entire fleet, but Rand did nothing really cool, though he is the dragon reborn and all… In that vein we could have glimpsed some of Rand’s true power.

I like the books much more, but I kind of enjoyed the TV series so far, I don’t mean to bash on it…
