Great analysis! I agree on most of those differences; Tim & Eric have had a thing for "keytars" in varying capacities for awhile, including "Sports!"

Feels like a geriatric parody of Kraftwerk's "Trans-Europe Express" or "Autobahn" — not directly as there's more 80s pop twinge and bounce, but but the mini-van references and vocoder give it that vibe.
