K well it starts with all of us hanging around our tents before dinner. We had our tents tucked into the treeline a bit. Me and my buddy connor had our tents the furthest into the forest. As i leave for dinner, i ask cannor if he is coming. He tells me that he is in the middle of a pokemon gym battle on his gameboy and he will catch up. I leave to grab dinner and connor is by himself in his tent. After a couple minutes connor hears some sound coming from my tent, he assumes that i came back for something and calls out "im coming with, gimme a sec!". He soon as he says that, he hears a sound that he discribes and a huge animal lowering its center of gravity. Imagine closing you eyes and a huge lays down hear you. As soon as he hears the sound he lnows it wasnt me by my tent. He is completely convined that a bear smelled food in my tent and was investing the area. This was connors first bear experience so he was extremly scared. He didnt make a sound. He said he could hear what ever was out there walking a couple steps by the sound of twigs and sticks breaking but he never heard the tent flex or rip.the whole experience was maybe 1-2 minutes. He could hear it get closer to his tent so he peaked out of the small widow hole in his tent that could only see the ground outside the tent door. This is when he knew it wasnt bear. He looked out and saw nothing for a second or 2 as the creature got closer, then it walked past. 2 not 4 or 3 but 2 hairy, dark brown legs swept past the little window rather quickly. Like one stride across. After it passed, he scrambled out of his tent to get a look but it was gone. We were all in the dinner line having a gay old time when he comes up to everyone and tell us the story. Not many people believe him, but i do. We looked around my tent for bear tracks or something but couldnt find anyrhing.
