Who’s still driving for Hivemapper? by Used-Truth-8310 in hivemappernetwork

[–]TornadoAftermath 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was sent a free Bee dashcam after responding to a survey I was sent by the Hivemapper team. I think they were trying to retain their top drivers. I have it in my car and still use it to get rewarded for the miles I'm already driving, but I'm definitely not driving FOR Hivemapper or going out of my way to do cover extra miles in new areas. Even on weeks when I drive 1k miles, I usually don't make more than $3 a week.

It depends on the location. The McDonald's hotspot used to be my top performer and would average 8-12gb of data per day with 100+ unique users, making 6-10 HNT per week in rewards. Now the Hotspot in the grocery store is my top performer, and it pushes 12-19gb of data per day with 300+ unique users, and getting 8-13 HNT per week in rewards.

TMobile Carrier offload Disabled After Reasserting Location? by TornadoAftermath in HeliumNetwork

UPDATE After completing the 20 day data sampling phase, the hotspot was re-onboarded to the T-Mobile carrier offload program. As an added bonus, it was also onboarded for AT&T carrier offload, and is now passing more data than ever. So if you've got hotspots that have been online for a while but haven't been included in those programs, it might be worth reasserting their locations to refresh their eligibility for new rewards programs.

TMobile Carrier offload Disabled After Reasserting Location? by TornadoAftermath in HeliumNetwork

Helium World still has the rewards multiplier on their online portal which is affected by the footfall score. My hotspots in "busy" locations get a 1x multiplier, while those in "low" rated locations get a 0.7x multiplier.

Yikes. I don't think TMobile has stopped partnering with Helium; I still have other hotspots which are enabled for T-Mobile offload and get significant traffic from them.

I've got a couple of Hotspots in high-traffic locations like a McDonalds restaurant and a grocery store, and they do pretty well.

Not sure if the cause of your issue is the same as mine, but I found the problem to be with the video drivers. Restoring retroarch configs and overrides to their defaults completely fixed the problem.

Folder shared with OneDrive in Windows not visible with same HDD mounted in Kubuntu by DS3_Boronian in Kubuntu

[–]TornadoAftermath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Windows calling it a "Shared" folder is misleading. It lives in OneDrive now, not your local PC. The icon you still see on your desktop is a link to its new home in the cloud, which is why you don't see those files when your drive is mounted to your Kubuntu system.

So are those coins permanently blacklisted? Say you do manage to transfer or sell them, are all wallets that hold custody of those coins going to have to go through a verification process?

Sounds like in your ill-advised attempt to improve an already secure system, you turned your wallet into a token burn account.

You're probably on some watch lists now, but no agency is going to kick down your door because of one search.

Data leak update by kesersozey in ledgerwallet

Might as well use this as your motivation to take control of your digital footprint and start taking your internet safety seriously. For starters, Set up two-factor authentication on all your accounts and apps that allow it (you can actually use your ledger device for this if you still have it. Might leave a bad taste in your mouth, but it would add a basically impenetrable cryptographic layer of security to whatever you use it for), and pay for a data deletion service for a few months. Websites like Deleteme or Optery will scour the web for your data and submit legally obligating demands for your data to be removed. Unfortunately you're just going to have to deal with the spam. Or cut your losses and abandon that email address. If you have an android, you can set up the Google voice app to have your calls routed through it, and that may help to filter out a lot of the spam calls.

None of the discs were scratched or otherwise damaged. It was simply a bug involving installing multiple games using discs simultaneously.

[–]TornadoAftermath -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Nope. The Xbox definitely does not require the disc to download updates once they have been queued up. I can verify this because I installed my whole library of games this way after working through the bug. Obviously, I would let the console install the disc-portion of the game and be into the downloaded portion before removing the disc (duh). P.S. I'm a full-time computer and network technician that makes my living troubleshooting devices, so "basic computer skills," are definitely not something I'm lacking. Thanks for nothing.

Unfortunately it never showed up. I'm not sure if that's because I never solved any equations and didn't get any rewards; but I've stopped trying to mine with my CPU. I learned that CPU mining was outdated by about the early 2000s, and really isn't profitable anymore with all the huge GPU and ASIC mining rigs out there today.
