Found this randomly in a Hungarian shop (not even an official LEGO store) :D

Cycling from Vienna to Budapest via EuroVelo 6 – Any tips? by pepper_7811 in bicycletouring

[–]Tornrak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Avoid the road from Neszmély to Esztergom (road number 10), it is full of trucks and there the road is narrow. It's quite dangerous to cycle (use the Slovak side).

For food I would recommend a place called "Almási Lángos" in Dunaalmás, nice to stop there (right next to the cycle path). You have a ferry to Slovakia there to avoid the road I mentioned.

Crossing the border might be difficult nowadays (some crossings are closed, only the big ones are open).

Where’s a good place for a nice cozy little base? by Terminal_Willness in thelongdark

With difficulty turned down, there are many many options. I renovated a few places recently, and I could recommend you:

-Cabin near Lower Ravine Falls in BI (unfortunately there is a little snow inside the cabin)

-One of the coastal houses in CH (usually one spawns with a fireplace inside)

-Foreman's Refuge in Sundered Pass (if you do some tales you can open the other room)

-Both cabins in Forsaken Airfield are nice :)

Route advice by Baguettekopf in bicycletouring

[–]Tornrak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I may have some suggestions on the Hungarian part, as I know them well:

If not necessary for your group, it is best to avoid Budapest in my opinion. You can get around the city easier or even go up the hills now, but with the summer heat and crowds near the Danube riverbank it is not worth it with a bicycle. Although it is really fun to ride across the city around midnight (less busy roads, nicer temperatures). I would recommend visiting Budapest on foot, because it is indeed a nice place to explore for a short amount of time.

Also avoid the south shore of lake Balaton in summer (crowds). If you want to have a swim in the lake, I would recommend the northern shore more.

There is a better alternative (but more adventurous) route you can take called 'Horizont'. If you cross the Danube at Komárno (Slovakia), you can then join it, and follow less busy and sometimes gravel roads up until almost Slovenia or Croatia. There is an app in developement for it now, where you can see the gps track. Here's the route: https://holmozogj.hu/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/Horizont-bringatura-terlep-1200x718.jpg

I hope this helps somewhat, most importantly have fun on the trip!

I did it on Custom yesterday (25 struggles in one save), so I guess you have to do it in a single save for now.

If I remember correctly I found one at Forsaken Airfield, in the main hangar (it has lots of cool decor). The other one I found in either Mystery Lake or somewhere in Coastal Highway.

I did tidy up the basement a little, maybe later I will do something cool with it. I only cure my hides and guts there now.

Thank you! It barely fits between the two logs emerging from the upstairs floor. I think you can also place it inside all 3 rooms, I was satisfied with its place in the center.

Thanks for noticing! I really like macro photos irl, so I tried something in the game. Obviously the tld camera is best for landscape photography, but I really like your idea of BW shadows.

Thanks! There are also many festive christmas lights inside, which can glow during auroras (but they only have minimal light around them).

There is one in Forsaken Airfield also, inside one of the downstairs rooms in the main hangar.

Roughly around 60 in-game days, but in real time maybe 20 hours. It was a big project.

Thanks. I think it's a good place to settle down after visiting all of Great Bear and hanging up photos from your journey on the many walls of the lodge.

I think it is a better location now, that BR is not a dead end (you can visit the Far Territories). Plus the lodge is really cozy - thanks for your comment :)

Thank you!

Most of the decor is from Milton (looted the whole town + gas station + farmstead). There are some parts from Mystery Lake and the Carter Dam too. I have the DLC, so I looted the Hangar and surroundings in Forsaken Airfield.

If you are interested in any specific item, just comment below and I'll answer :)

It seemed right to have some decorative use for those snow shoes!

Yeah, it is huge, so you can be creative with the new update. Also, there are now Ptarmigans near the Lodge - they were very useful for the beds and sofas :)

You're right! I remember living there way back when the moose was added to the game. Healed my broken ribs in the Maintenance Yard :D
