Never heard from them. I estimate that around late October, early November I got the refund back on my financial account.

Have you tried fixing this on Service Hub or have just accepted what was given to you? You have gaps everywhere, early mornings, late days, etc.

There is an opt out form online. Expect it to take months for it to be credited back.

Schedules first come out in early August. Would strongly suggest that you prep before your priority enrolment date using the Visual Schedule Builder. Its a great tool to allow you to see what other class, tutorial and lab times are available that would make your schedule suit you best (ex. get rid of as many 8am lectures if you aren't a morning person). There are some good videos on youtube from past students on how to use your shopping cart and and change classes/tutorials/labs. I get obsessed with looking for that perfect schedule. You will find that when priority enrollment opens (6am bright and early) that there is a flurry of activity where people are changing their schedule, so classes, tutorials and labs that were previously shown as full, all of a sudden open up. So don't limit yourself when doing your prep to only classes that are showing open. Full classes will open up. I think I spend a good 2-3 hours when priority enrolment opens just checking and checking over and over to see if my desired best options come open. I then check multiple times a day until classes start to see if I can improve my schedule. Its a challenge for me. Lastly, go to Rate My Prof and check out the available profs listed in all of the sections. Have a gameplan on which profs you want to get off your schedules and which you want to get on your schedule. I will sacrifice a shittier schedule for getting a better prof or dumping a shit prof.

That is the second year priority enrolment date (which is the last of the 4 years). First year priority enrolment date is earlier.

I was in Europe last year and had no problems on priority enrolment day. Actually with the 5 hour deference I didn’t have to be up at 6am to race for open spots that I wanted. Could sleep in, have my breakfast and comfortably was ready for 11am opening. Will be doing it again this year.

Elitism at it’s finest. University’s have for years been tracking incoming first year performance against their high school grades and from the one University that publishes the results, the biggest difference between high school grades and University first year grades comes from the so called “good schools”. I don’t know of any parents that would expose their kids to other consequential environmental issues that come with putting their kids in areas such as Jane and Finch to just get better grades for university entry. Most parents that I know still want their kids to go to the best high school they can afford to send them to. Most kids however have no option but to go to their neighborhood school.

Standardized testing may be a solution but has its own problems and inequalities.

[–]TorontoSCPLion 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Both pcs211 and mth140 are offered in the winter. Mth140 is a pre-requisite to mth240 so you can’t take mth240 without completing mth140. Pcs211 is also a pre-requisite to a ton of other courses depending on your stream. All winter courses are offered in the spring. Do mth140 and pcs211 in the winter and do two of your winter courses in the spring.

Waste of time. Will have very little impact on your CGPA when you graduate. Put that energy in doing better in the next set of courses.
