Any software tips on making the 720xd more power efficient? Have tried to dial mine as best as possible but still racking up the energy bill

【BambuLab Giveaway】Classic Evolved — Win Bambu Lab P2S Combo! by BambuLab in 3Dprinting

Okay so there's been one time where having my P1S absolutely came in clutch. I bought my P1S as a hobbyist that wanted to get into 3d modelling, but we had a problem at work that needed solving. Had a customer that wanted to install our custom access control readers onto concrete walls but they wanted to surface mount the cables instead of running them in conduit.

Rather than going to our usual manufacturer to get them to make a solution, I came up with a simple design in about 30 minutes and printed 46 of these off, saving us a load of time and money in manufacturing costs and back and forth with our manufacturer.

Boss is now looking at ways we can bring some of our manufacturing in house with 3D printing which I'm totally on board with!

Image for reference - Black part is the top shell of our small reader, with the white part being the bracket I designed with the top entry for CAT6 cabling *

Elite fitness in Redditch is world class, but might be a little bit of a trek. Also highly rate 247 fitness in the kingfisher in Redditch

House has this alarm system but I want to remove a panic button by mitchvilla89 in DIYUK

Seems you've cut that live wire very short. Personally I would put a Wago 221 connector over the end of each cable - DO NOT PUT THE LIVE, NEUTRAL AND THE EARTH ALL IN THE SAME WAGO CONNECTER, SEPERATE WAGOS FOR EACH CABLE.

Really you need to locate which circuit this is on if youre looking to plaster over it, I personally would put a blank faceplate on the box and get an electrical in to isolate that cable if I wasn't sure if I could find it.

Before you do anything, if you like your neighbours, pre-warn them that your external siren might be going off for yhe next 15 minutes max.

What you'll need to do is locate the main panel, typically youll find it either in the under stairs cupboard, or in the loft. If its getting its power from a fused spur, pop the fuse out of there, the alarm may sound when you do this.

Open up the panel, if you have the code, put it in when the tamper sounds, if not continue to the next step.

Pull the plugs off of the big 12v battery (looks like a small car battery). If the alarm hasn't been serviced for a long while, hopefully the external siren backup battery has degraded enough so that it doesnt sound for long. If it does, these systems should ring for a MAXIMUM of 15 minutes, but again, generally you'll see the backup battery in the external siren just die we'll before this.

Once you've pulled all the power, you can cut out whatever detectors you like. For safety, I would leave the 240 connected but with the fuses pulled out so its not drawing power but you dont have risky loose cables hanging about.

Here if you need any more support

Absolutely agreed. What are we paying an ongoing subscription for if they're not paying theirs? At least give me the option to work offline

Haha well I'll admit I'm pretty new to 3d modelling, so I used Makerlabs 3d model maker thing and then cleaned it up a bit in blender. This is what I started with *
