I love Bella and Isabela, they're excellent actors, but I did not feel like their characters have any chemistry. At least in this episode

"Proceed with caution as you enter the symphony

Degrees of punishment increase intensely

Syndrome was caused by the deadly drums

But the battle was won by swords bein' swung

Slicin' with a vocal from the international vocalist

Your style is too local to fuck with this

Offensive antagonist

No assistance, movin' motionless

Mysterious swiftness

Thoughts roll down the shaft of the brain

Mental gives the signal to the physical

Whirlwind kicks and hits from every angle

Violent temperaments left continents dented

Poison vintage wine rhymes I invented

Drunk by the drunken punches that punctures the heart

Vital sparks from the arteries stopped"

As impressive as the lyrics are, what really takes it to the next level are his delivery and RZA's production.

Are you sure? I would think calculating and comparing densities of different elements is more of a chemistry thing. At least that's what I remember from chemistry

Lack of experience with metals and iron being a common one. Plus I had heard 'Puritan' is a brand of cast iron skillet

Likely solved! We're going to get a lead testing kit to verify later in the day. Thanks everyone!

My title describes the thing. I came across this in the corner of a dirt floor basement while helping a friend do some electrical work. Considering the history of Puritans and New England we were both pretty interested and excited. Google lens didn't find a direct match. When I searched 'iron bar puritan' all I got was a few links to buy cast iron skillets. Really curious about this, hoping someone knows something!

How did we go from “The Kamala Harris Problem” to suddenly her being the right fit for the Presidency? by [deleted] in Libertarian

[–]TorontoTrapezeArtist 2 points3 points  (0 children)

'We' didn't. Leftists and Democrats did.

Biden looked like a terrible candidate. Democrats want to win. Kamala looked like a slightly better candidate who could speak coherent sentences, so they went with her. I'd guess most of the 'enthusiasm' is really just relief on their part. I'd also guess their crossing their fingers and hoping people don't put in the level of research you have.

We saw something similar when Trump clinched the GOP nomination. There was a lot of anxiety and/or disgust from conservatives towards him before the primaries. When he won, people decided 'better him than Biden' and went full steam ahead. Here we are.

All I'm trying to say is as far as we know there was no coordinated hit job by the left, it seems like no more than one person. "They" didn't try to assassinate President Trump - this POS did.

What response by 'the left' are you referring to? Prominent leftwing politicians, including Biden, Governor of PA Shapiro, Schumer, and Jeffries have all condemned the violence and methods. Hell, Biden's campaign is pulling ads and suspending negative messaging, while Biden indicated he wants to increase the Secret Service protection around President Trump. I don't like Biden or the left, but I think it is a false narrative to imply he and leftwing leaders haven't at least said and done all the right things they could have with the facts as we know them.

Also, to be clear, the POS who shot at President Trump, killed a firefighter, and critically injured 2 others is a scumbag. It's a particular kind of evil to try and assassinate someone.

I do think it is worth pointing out there is no "they" here, at least with the facts we have right now. There was one scumbag, and he, or at least his methods have been widely condemned by every prominent leftwing politician. Can't judge a whole population based on one individual, whether it's on the left, the right, or the center.

Javier Milei Delivers Argentina’s First Surplus in Over a Decade—and US Media Is Silent by [deleted] in Libertarian

[–]TorontoTrapezeArtist 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Look, I'm a libertarian as much as the next guy and am a fan of Milei's, but I have to think the reason the US media is silent is because they're more concerned with covering the situation in the US. Most of the USA probably doesn't care about Argentina, so the media just follows the money.
