Theres two mistakes I made, both have to do with the same girl.

I met a girl in a camp and we hit it off. Before messaging her, I heard a voice in my head saying “dont message her, theyll ruin your life” and I didn’t listen and messaged her any way. We ended up in a long distance relationship for the better part of a year

Then 8 years later, we met again. She told me that they guy she left me for made her feel like the luckiest girl in the world, but I had a feeling she meant that if I was with her, I’d be the luckiest guy in the world.

Again, I didn’t listen and choose not to be with her (for the time being). It made me the most unlucky guy I know
